The Luna delivered more than expected. Great value, we were upgraded to a 'superior' studio, a very big room and fairly well equipped with a/c. TV is free, wifi is only available in the reception area (24 hours a day) which is also free. the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. the room was cleaned and serviced with sheets, towels etc. replaced very regularly.
The onsite 'minimarket' is a boon and very reasonably priced.
there are a few local restaurants which serve good food in generous portions at reasonable prices.
There's not a lot to do in mellieha bay (or up the cardiac hill in town either) but it's quaint. like travelling back in time about 30 years. bus services are good and very cheap. i wouldn't hire a car in malta as the driving is atrocious and as the rep said, roundabouts are a novelty in malta.More
