Have been to the Paradise Bay Hotel several times over the last two years and I am looking forward to staying there again in April this year. They have reasonable rates, nice and clean rooms, excellent sea viewsand good food. The staff have always been friendly and the pools are big (even the indoor pool) and not crowded. The hotel is situated next to a bus station and the ferry to Gozo. I love to watch the ferries come and go. Would love to stay there longer than one week only if I had the time to....

Cant believe what I read. These people must be very fussy and do not appreciate the work that is put into this hotel. The hotel is so warm and welcoming with all the staff being very helpful and ready to help you as soon as you ask. The hotel true is away from everywhere but buses do run just outside the hotel and one can go to restaurants, to the beach and travel all around the hotel. A car hire service is also available as well as taxis but then again I am sure that the people who complain cant be bothered to pay for these cause catching the public transport is very easy and very very cheap.

We had a very wonderful time and will certainly return. The staff were awesome and felt at home rather than in a hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and have all neccessary ammenitities.

Everyone has there own opinion about things. Some might like the hotel others no but it is worth visiting this hotel.

My brother has spent the last 20 plus years holidaying in Malta so we thought we would give it a go. What a mistake. On arrival we were greeted by an ex-pat who seemed pleasant. Our room was very disappointing and not a bit like the brochure. Great view over the port but our room was directly above the kitchen for the pizza/cafeteria so cppks were constantly having their breaks under our balcony. The corridors were miles long and we were situated at the furthermost part of the hotel from the restaurant. Exhausting walking along there a couple of times a day. First night went for a walk to find absolutely nothing in the vicinity!! Realised there was no restaurants to eat in (we had booked bed and breakfast) so ended up getting a couple of rolls from down on the dosckside from a sandwich kiosk! Realising we had no choice but to go half board we booked and paid for 5 nights dinner. We like to try local foods when we travel and usually eat at a different restaurant nightly so was very disappointed with the food. Had to join a long queue for dinner which was very like Butlins but much dearer. Food did not look inviting and no information as to what you were eating. Am afraid to say we stuck with what looked like English food; chicken nuggets and fish fingers!!! Staff were completely unhelpful to the point of being rude. They just didn't acknowledge you and don't wait for a smile or friendly word. Cannot see the attraction of Malta and would NEVER go again.

Both my family and myself have returned to this hotel many times. i was shocked to see some of the reviews the hotel was getting, its a family run hotel with many friendly members of staff who are always happy to help. I have often emailed the hotel prior to my visit to request things and these requests have been met very well.
The rooms are of good quality and many have recently been up graded, all have an excellent view. The hotel is close to the ferry port which takes you to Gozo, yet you do not seem to hear the noises of the ferry but get the pleasent view of the sea and ferrys at night.

Christmas and new year is excellent the food provided is brilliant and a wide selection is always on offer to feed even the most fussiest of pallets!!

Breakfast is also very good with new food being offered as soon as the previous batch has ran out or got low, yes tea and coffee comes out of a tea machine but it allows people to make up there own minds as to how much they want to drink and saves waiting for staff to bring tea to a restaurant full of people. plates are cleared quickly and efficently.

Pools and facillities are good and i never got bored at the hotel, i will be returning with my partner at new year and would definalty recommend this hotel.
The reviews i have seen do not match up with the standard of this hotel, its clean, staff are helpful and definal worth the money.

All room pictures are displayed on internet so book towards you ppreferences of room quality. I think some people complain to gget a higher standard of room.!!

Its a beautiful hotel, anyone with complaints should see how booked out it is year after year even in the winter months!!

Our expectation were higher then usual, as we booked the hotel well in advance, before christmas.
I choosed this hotel because I wanted to suprise my husband with something special.
Well the hotel is nothing close to a 4 star hotel. They do have the facilities but service wise absolutely zero. The food choice at breakfast and lunch it was poor, and the coffee and tea facilities were absolutely dredfull.
The staff was very unprofessional and unpleseant, and nobody were intersted in us in any way.
Also I think it was funny to check out at 11 am when our flight were at 10 pm, specially we were with a small children. Also nobody informed us about the flight delay which was 6 hours, again it was a charter flight should be informing people about it.
Overall I didnt think it was a good value for money.

Have just returned from this hotel and although I had an OK trip it was not really up to 4 star standards.

The hotel is set at the north end of the Island and away from everywhere, the local highlight is the ferry terminal to Gozo (advised of this by my Rep!!) there is nothing to do in the local area unless you get a cab which is quite expensive. The hotel 'entertainment' was poor do not go there thinking that the entertainment mentioned in the web pages is worth going to. If you like Bingo great but otherwise take a good book and retire to your room with a bottle of wine.....

The staff were very pleasent I didnt find any rude ones as mentioned in other peoples reviews, I found them helpful and polite.

Food breakfast was good but the evening meals were abit basic you have 2 sittings and are expected to finish your meal within an hour, they actually start clearing the food away at 9pm. There is a cavery joint everynight and if you want extra just ask teh chef he is more than happy to obilgue.

People have mentioned the locals being allowed into the hotel during the day, DO NOT expect to have a quiet time round the pool it is not going to happen, the kids run up and down screaming at each other with the parents letting them. They have just gone back to school so weekdays may be abit quieter now.

Trips- theres alot of trips on offer, if you do the jeep trip you will go to Mdina and Masaloxx fishing village which will save you seperate trips, time allowed at both approx 30 mins which was the same as the seperate trips. If you are going in to Valletta get the 145 bus its quicker than the 45 ( 1 hour against 1 1/5 hours) But as you are at the north of the Island the trips do take alot of travelling.

So who would like this hotel??? not sure as it really doesnt cater for anyone in particular, there are alot of older guests but i dont know what they did as there was nothing laid on during the day. I can not see how its a 4 star hotel they dont even provide you with shampoo etc (ladies take a hairdryer the hotel one takes forever). You have to pay extra for the fridge and the TV only free English Channel is Sky News (plus some radio stations).

Malta itself is lovely but if ou want to see the country you would be better off staying in St Pauls or Valletta area as thats where the trips leave from. If you want a holiday where you get no peace, no entertainment and basic food this is the hotel for you......

We had a nice holiday although there were a few problems with the hotel itsself. Our room was lovely and clean couldnt falt this and cleaned daily with fresh towels and bedding. Our whole family were happy with all the meals served we thought it was fantastic food and plenty of choice every night same for breakfast. The indoor pools could do with updating not as nice as they look in the picture, every extra's like sauna jacuzzi and gym were not free and you had to pay to use these facilities. Some of the staff were lovely like andrea from the animations team and joe on night reception, most of the others were rude and unhelpful. We found most days the pools were quiet and just had holiday visitors but when the weekend arrives as this hotel is open to the public it is jam packed and you can not get any room anywhere from 8am till about 7pm when the pool closes.Way too busy on these days. The downfall of this hotel mostley was the entertainment for the children, if you have children please do not book this hotel we had our 2 small children with us and althought they do have entertainment like disco, bingo and some games they all start at 9.30pm which by then my kids were a sleep. very boring for them at night and you cant go anywear as the buses to the other towns stop around 8pm and to get a taxi back it cost us £25 euros. We did have a nice holiday but very very quiet and boring at night. The bistro serves nice food too howver the service is very slow and waitresses are rude.
