“A good break - 8 days are enough”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2012

We arrived on the 17th of August for 8 days. We were checked in swiftly and were given our directions to our sea view room. The room was spacious and had a great view of the sea. We were on the third floor. My wife, myself and our 2 year old daughter had enough space and also two bathrooms. The room was spotless and the air conditioning worked very well, perhaps the best I have ever used considering the weather outside was around 38 degrees.

Being vegetarian we were a little apprehensive about the food but overall it was ok for the stay we had. Any longer and we would have struggled as the food can get repetitive. We struggled a couple of days with choice however spoke to Steve the chef who soon put this right - very accommodating.
Drinks are plenty but not fresh, the juices taste terrible and the fizzy drinks and cocktails are very watered down, however not something that should put you off.
Desserts, too many to mention and they were always fresh and being replenished.

We spent most of our time by the poolside and did not really venture out too much from the hotel. There were ample beach loungers and we never struggled to get three together.
Entertainment by the pool side included wate polo, volleyball and water aerobics. A special mention to Andrea who was a great member of the animation team as well as michala.

Entertainment in the evening we could not have survived without, it gave our daughter something to look forward too and kept her occupied. As for the adults, if you are expecting some broadway type show, this is not what you will get. However the animation team do a very good job entertaining the guests.

There are a lot of flies and wasps but this is really brought on by people leaving the food and drinks by the poolside after they have finished and not returning back to the restaurant.

Wifi is amazing, almost better than what I have in the uk and it was great for my phone and iPad.
Tv channels not that great.

No egg station, so don't expect omelettes of your choice - perhaps an improvement to come soon.

We ate the the jungle/la vista three times in our stay. The food is good however the portions are massive. You can also order from their main menus and get 50% of the bill for being hotel guests.

Overall for our first visit to seabank and Malta we were satisfied and would come back again.
We had no problems whilst we were there and I can be a fussy customer.

If you are hesitating, don't, the location is great, the food is plenty, fresh but repetitive (may not be for a meat eater), entertainment is great for a young family, there are plenty of pools and the place is always kept clean.
Take a chance, you will really not regret it.

Room Tip: Try to get a corner room, more space . Also the sea view room is worth it,

The Seabank All Inclusive Resort offers families excellent value for money. We have just returned from a two week holiday at this hotel. The hotel was very clean and modern. We ate mainly in the Coral Resturant finding the food varied fresh and of really good quality. The chefs were very friendly and happy to explain ingredients used. Our room was large and had 2 bathrooms, very handy for a family of 4. The room was cleaned every day, clean towels provided as well as 4 bottles of water per day. There was no need to buy water as bottles could be refilled from water stations in reception. The hotel staff went above and beyond expectations ensuring that our stay was as comfortable as possible. The pool was very large, and the same depth throughout (1.2 m). Yes, the pool floor is non slip, but this did not cause any problems to our feet. Sunbeds and parasols were plentiful, there is no need to reserve beds. All in all a very relaxing holiday with beautiful weather and ideal for families of all ages.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Just returned from a family holiday at the all-inclusive Seabank. First-class in all respects. Accommodation immaculate and cleaned to the highest standard daily, restaurant excellent with a HUGE choice of food through start-main-sweet-and-cheese, and a theme each night. Lovely views across the bay from the veranda in the restaurant and bar. Pool is plenty-big and really tidy, and there seemed to be twice as many loungers as guests (mid-Aug), so no bun-fighting for a spot. Bars and drinks first rate, and the staff throughout the hotel were hugely welcoming and helpful in the extreme. In sum, don't hesitate to book it. One top tip; don't flog all the way to the Capital to do a Captain Morgan cruise to the Blue Lagoon (as sold by the holiday reps), go by 'Oh Yeah Watersports' instead; much better value and a 100yd walk across the road. Further Oh Yeah were top-notch for water sports; we did the banana, the sofa, and the 3-person para-thingy; great staff, good value, and very well looked-after from a safety perspective.

Recently back from a 2-week stay at Seabank in Malta and I have to say, it was a very pleasant experience. Having read some of the reviews posted in advance, I was expecting much worse. Yes there flies, wasps - what do you expect at high season and 38degrees, Yes, some of the paintwork not up to scratch but the hotel has excellent staff (Albert gets a special mention), excellent daily cleaning of rooms (which were most spacious for family of 2 adults, 2 children) and the pool area/beds/umbrellas plentiful and spacious. The food was really very good when one considers the volumes they are feeding - we preferred the coral restaurant overall and but also the pool area for convenience at lunch time. In terms of commented posted on the food area/flies etc. I witness a number of guests leaving their dirty cups/plates at poolside (thus attracting even more flies), guests not replacing the cellophane on food management had covered over, guests not using ashtrays by the pool and most sickening a woman leaving not one, but two, "used" swim nappies under the sun loungers.......management do their absolute bet at this hotel to keep it all in order....not helped by such guests.......

Above all, it was the kids club which was fantastic for us and scores 12/10 for us. Marina and all the rest of the team were simply brilliant...even creaming up our kids as required....I didn't see my children (age 10 and 8) for nearly 3 days as they were kept entertained with outings, drawings, games, pool activities and practice for shows. I highly recommend the kids club at this hotel and it rates very highly in the numerous clubs I have experienced over the years. Keep up the good work....the animation team were simply wonderful and I am still humming that tune......

Being that we were traveling from the US and celebrating a return to Malta for our mother and father who left Malta and had not returned in 50 years, this was a big trip for our family. We spent many months planning this trip and chose the Seabank as our home base for our trip. We definitely view staying at the Seabank as a highlight of our trip. We were given excellent room accommodations, and the food buffets had a great variety for our group and the timing of the food was excellent especially when traveling with young men under 22 who do like to eat around the clock. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the service during meals was excellent. The value was fantastic. We definitely recommend Seabank to anyone visiting Malta.

We just returned from a 2 week family holiday in the Seabank Hotel and would recommend it to any other families wanting a laid-back and comfortable holiday.
The bad bits:
The juices were often watered down, and were not fresh fruit juice.
They had a few problems with the fire alarm system which went off accidentally 3 or 4 times, including a 04:30 false alarm.
Yes, there were some flies and wasps, but we didn't really notice them that much and we didn't find them a major issue.
There is a road improvement project on one side of the hotel which did mean some construction traffic working during the day.
Finally, yes OK, we didn't eat Lobster Thermidor and drink Bollinger every night!
The good bits:
They obviously try hard with the food; although there were some things that appeared often there was a very good choice of different foods, and the main menu changed constantly. I've read other reviewers complaining about the themed restaurants, but in our experience the Chinese was OK and the Mexican restaurant across the road was very good. We were not limited in terms of what you could drink at the other themed restaurants, which some people have suggested.
The rooms are excellent - very clean, with good facilities. The housekeeping staff, like the other staff, work very hard and do an excellent job, yet find time to say hello and share a smile with you. Indeed all of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
The entertainment doesn't take itself too seriously, it's not trying to be West End standard, but is good fun and keeps the kids (and young at heart) amused if you just let it.
The other hotel facilities are very good, and there is never a fight for a sun lounger by the pool - we found that really good as we are not early risers but we never had problems getting a good spot despite having 5 in the family. The cocktails at the pool side were another highlight!
The hotel is conveniently located for trips out, though to be honest we found the buses unreliable, though cheap when they did eventually arrive.
We would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a relaxed and informal holiday.

Some people winge about the most petty things....yes we did see a stain on the carpet and no it did not ruin our holiday. Yes there were a few joinery problems if you looked hard enough for them (I would not have looked for them if I had not read all the reviews, so thank you for pointing them out as it gave me a little giggle about what some people look at when on holiday)...again our holiday was not ruined. I was also expecting swarms of flies but was also pleasantly surprised as there was a few but not crawling all over food as expected just mildly irritating but no more so than our dining experience in Gozo! Seabank hotel was our first experience of an all inclusive holiday and we are looking to book another all inclusive somewhere else and feel that we may be dissapointed after our excellent experience at the Seabank. After reading the reviews of this hotel we were pleasantly surprised and this may have set the standards too high for our next all inclusive. Don't be fooled, this place was massively extended and upgraded this year and they did it very well in 3 months, so a few teething problems are to be expected!

The previous poor reviews of this hotel we feel are a bit unfair as the staff work very hard, constantly cleaning, being very curtious and no job requested is too much trouble. We actually felt that ALL the staff worked so hard (in very hot temperatures) to keep up the standards and cleanliness of all areas within the hotel that they deserve appreciation. Alwai (I think thats how you spell his name) and Shawn never stopped and were always polite and having jokes etc with residents which added a nice atmosphere and made them approachable. There were always managers available and visible, though we never needed to speak to them directly.

The food was plentiful and very nice and there was a good choice for everyone...Again we were not expecting them to have fillet steak on every night so we were pleasantly surprised and nothing I ate was below a good standard with most dishes being excellent (I tried everything on offer and now need to diet). The Coral restaurant needs to have dimmed lighting for a more relaxed dining experience, though we often ate outside which was wonderful. The restaurant had several hot dishes including pizza and pasta, local specialities, roast meat, fish and themed dishes which changed every night. There was also a huge salad and cold meats bar including local and international cheeses as well as fresh breads, differing fresh salad dressings and a kids buffet serving the usual fare of chicken nuggets, sausages etc, though our little boy (only 6 not 16 alwali lol) wished to try most of the adult foods and was never dissapointed and never went hungry.

Maid service was excellent, air con excellent, fan dodgy but not needed when the air con is more than sufficient. A nice touch with the air con was the fact it switched itself off when the balcony doors were open, then restarted when you shut them!

The entertainment was not brilliant for us, however all the kids loved it and there were plenty of kids around as this hotel is aimed at families, and you could see that they also worked hard. The magician was really good, The outside bar at the front of the hotel we enjoyed the most where it was a nice relaxed drinking experience and then went to the entertainment dome much later.

One minor word of warning to parents of small children who love jumping in and out of the new pools. The pools are coated with antislip for safety (unlike old fashioned slippy tiles) but with little feet we recomend swim shoes/sandals (problem solved).....

Room Tip: pool rooms were lovely with large balcony and nice views of the complex.
