The hotel is situated to the North of Malta and is orientated almost North South with the pool situated to the South. The sun shines into the pool area all day from 0800 till gone 1700 even in October. There are more than ample sunbeds and parasols available. The new extension is completed but the top floor is not available to Hotel guests as these much larger rooms will eventually be sold. No decision as to their format or on what basis they will be sold has yet been taken. Currently building work is in progress to build a ground water collection and pumping station, this as a result of flooding in September. Noise is minimal and the work should be completed soon.
Reception Staff are all extremely helpful and this area is manned 24 hours a day.
Rooms Those that are part of the old hotel have all been refitted to a high standard with ample clothes storage, a safe and inbuilt tea and coffee making facilities. A digital TV provides a good choice of channels. The beds are extremely large and comfortable. The air conditioning is excellent with in room units that can be easily controlled. They are also very quite. The bathroom contains a bath with two shower heads, toilet and sink. Our room had a large balcony overlooking the sea. It was furnished with a table, two chairs and two sunbeds. Most rooms have smaller balconies and it is therefore worth paying extra for the sea view.
Restaurants, There are several restaurants with the main restaurant at reception level. This is air conditioned and can be very busy at times. Food was very good with lots of choice but at times this can be over cooked, especially the vegetables. Two more, Pizza and Jungle Restaurants are situated on a lower level but do not appear to be fully utilised. Two external Restaurants Mayo and Mexico can be booked. These are situated across and a couple of yards up the road from the Hotel. There is a standard all inclusive menu or discounted main menu. Reviews were varied during our visit, some not too complimentary. The pool restaurant serves burger/pizza type quick food which is available all day once breakfast is complete. Wine, beer, soft drinks, coffee, tea and water are available in all. Bookings are taken at breakfast for the Oriental Restaurant adjacent to the main restaurant where food with an Eastern slant can be enjoyed.
Bars During the day there are two bars open from 1000, one inside and one outside at the South end of the Pool. The dome bar opens in the evening where the entertainment is conducted, this bar and the inside bar close at 2300. A further bar called Mariners Bar is situated below the main restaurant but it is currently closed for refurbishment.
Facilities The large outdoor pool is well maintained and is a pleasure to swim in. A smaller indoor pool is also available reputably heated but felt colder than the main pool at times. Also in this area is a Jacuzzi, kept extremely busy by all and sundry.
In the basement is a Spa area which is well run by the staff, massage, hairdressing etc are available at a cost. There is a well stocked gymnasium, a large Steam Room and a Sauna, these are free to guests and are kept clean and tidy with lockers available for a refundable fee. Adjacent to the Jungle Restaurant are four bowling lanes again free to guests and in the same area are four pay Pool tables. Both these facilities require attention/maintenance. Two of the pool tables were torn and only one white could be found.
Staff This is a well managed Hotel with a happy staff, public areas are kept clean and tidy whilst bars and restaurant staff are all very obliging. Many thanks to you all for making our stay so pleasant. We could not fault room servicing and a small in room problem was quickly resolved.
We will definitely return again.

Room Tip: Look for a room facing the sea

We have just returned from a 1 week stay at this hotel. The food is excellent and the service provided by the staff is amazing. The room was clean and tidy and serviced really well. The entire experience was outstanding. The hotel is a good base to see Malta especially if you intend to use the local buses. They stop right outside and are very frequent. It is about an hour to get into Valetta but this is fine as there are plenty of places to see on the way.

If you are booked into this hotel you have made a good decision, one of the best we have ever stayed in.

Room Tip: The lift system is very good and there are no noise problems so any location is fine. Sea view rooms...

Just returned from a week at the Seabank with my partner and parents. It was my mum's 80th birthday during our stay so my parents were given an upgraded room for the duration of our stay and a cake with sparkers in it on her birthday, all at no extra charge. The rooms were wonderful really spacious and the decor excellent. All the staff seemed to work so hard, especially the reception staff, cleaners and dinningroom staff. Nothing was too much effort. There was food and drink availiable all day from 7.30am to 11pm so you could just do your own thing and eat on return. The bus stop was right outside the hotel and a very cheap way of getting around. The pool always had plenty of sunbeds and parasols, with a quieter end for those wanting to be away from the crowds. The food was excellent and so much choice to choose from. The hotel is spacious and your not aware of just how many people are staying there as there's plenty of bars and areas to sit in.
If I had to comment on one thing that wasn't so good it would be the entertainment for adults. The animation team seemed to be so hard working from early in the day till late at night, with excellent entertainment for children but adults entertainment from 9.30 - 11pm wasn't very good at all.
Despite this all in all this is a really good place to stay and well worth the money. If I return to Malta I would stay here again definately.

Room Tip: Pool view in the new block 4th floor really good views and very spacious.

We chose the Seabank Hotel in Mellieha for the location of our Wedding and it was fantastic. When booking weddings abroad you don't always know what to expect and hope that the photos of the hotel are true reflections of what it actually looks like. Luck for us it was, the hotel has recently been renovated and looks top notch. We were upgraded to a Sea View room with a large balcony, which my son loved as he waved at all the passers by, which were cleaned everyday with fresh towels. On the day of our wedding there was an expected storm which put the plans for an outside wedding on hold. We were, of course, very upset but that didn't last long as the Executive Chef and Events Manager of the hotel immediately put our minds at ease. They could not do enough to help. They went through every scenario until myself and my now husband were happy. We were still able to get married in the hotels gazebo which was beautifully decorated for my guests but we choose to move our reception inside which was lucky again as it did rain later on. We had our reception in the Asian restaurant and again it was beautifully decorated with flowers, menus white chair covers and more. The food was amazing and the staff made our day as they were so polite and friendly and didn’t mind the fact that they had to be stuck in a room with 32 loud Scottish people. The pool areas were great with more than enough sun loungers for everyone and my son loved the kids play areas in and outside the hotel. This was actually my 1st time as all inclusive and I would do it again. The food was very good and had an excellent choice of starters, mains and desserts and was available in different parts of the hotel through out the day. The only part that we think we can fault was the Mexican restaurant which is outside the hotel but a part of the all inclusive. The food was not great and the staff seemed unorganised and forgot some of our orders which meant we were all eating at different times. Other than that I can say that our stay was perfect. I had the perfect wedding which was all down to the staff at the Seabank. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely visit again. Thank you to everyone at the Seabank for making our day so special.

We stayed at the Seabank for a week on 2nd Oct. (couple both 40)

The reason we decided on the Seabank was due to the reviews made on Tripadvisor (we never book anywhere until we have checked it out).

Ok I'm aware that everyone is entitled to their opinion so here is ours.

1. Food: We have been lucky enough to have been on several AI holidays and the food here rates as some of the best we have had. It's been better than some 5 star hotels we have stayed in. Everything is cooked fresh in front of you so if it looks like the dishes are empty rest assured the chefs are cooking fresh to refill (they cook little and often so food is fresh and hot).

We did use the pool side bar for a late breakfast (10am-12pm) where you can still get your fry-up and I do recall it being hot and fresh. If you go to the main Coral restaurant breakfast is 7.30am-10am and the selection is huge!

Lunch is served in the Coral restaurant 12pm-3pm buffet style and again there is a large and varied selection. If you can't drag yourself from the pool you can visit the pool bar for lunch they have fresh pizza, burgers hot pasta dishes a large salad selection and several desserts so there is always something to snack on.

Drinks are help your self with a hot drinks dispenser which has a large selection of coffee or hot chocolate (loved the hot chocolate!) also rose, white and red wine on tap along with beer. There is also a soft drink and juice dispenser with a local drink called Kinnie(a bitter taste bit like pimms) The hotel was not full when we where there so never had to wait to get a refill!

We tried the chinese on site which was very nice (two sittings 6.30pm and 8.30pm) again buffet style, ok so the selection is not huge but the food was well cooked and tasty. We also ate at the Mexican (offf site) this was nice for a change of scenery the service was slow but you sit right next to the sea and the food was ok (huge portions).

2.Room: we had room 5459 at the end of the complex overlooking the pool. The room is huge they could have split it in two and still have loads of room. There were some building/roadworks to the left of us however when the patio doors were closed it was totally soundproof and even when we were on our patio there was very little noise (patio gets sun around 11am till sunset)

The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily with towel and linen changes, also there are 4 bottles of water in the fridge, they ask you to keep the bottles and refill in the numerous water dispensers around.

We used the in room safe which worked well and the tea/coffee which is also replenished daily.
The bathroom is also a good size with a lovely deep bath and choice of shower heads.

Some English channels on TV, tendered to be cheesy old American movies, could have done with sky news.

3.Beach: the beach is across the road (is a crossing) and is on a large curve. It's a gorgeous sandy beach with a few rock formations either side. The sea was as blue as any caribbean I've seen, it was really warm.calm and you could wade out so far before it became deeper so very safe for children. There are sun shades and beds to hire for 5.50 euros a day.

4.Location: It was approx 1 hour transfer from the airport on a small mini bus which was air conditioned. This hotel is at the far end of Malta and very secluded. There are a few shops and restaurants either side of the hotel but we did miss an evening stroll around a town centre. The main town is up a very steep rural windy road,to be honest in the heat I don't think we would have done it,however there is a bus that will take you, The buses are regular and it's 2.20 euro for a return anywhere on Malta which is very good value.

5.Pool: We went for a relaxing "poolside" holiday and this pool was perfect. There was a quiet pool section cut off from the main pool. We loved the main pool the animation team started around 10am with various games throughout the day. There is also a complete section for children with slides and toys with sun loungers for mums and dads.

We never had a problem with finding a sun bed (can imagine it could be busy in high season) and there is a pool side assistant on hand to help move the sun shades.

Pool towels con be hired for 10 euros each deposit and you get this back daily or at the end of the week. you can just hand over wet towels for dry ones at any time.

the pool area is kept clean and tidy with staff collecting empty cups and used plates. There were a few wasps and flies but nothing more than you would expect in the UK.

6. Trips: There is so much to see and do on Malta. We were going to take to open top bus tours but realised if they pick you up at the hotel it takes almost 3 hours to pick up elsewhere before you start the tour! you are better to make your own way to say Valletta and pick the tour up from there.it's about an hour to Valletta (capital) on the bus be prepared for crowded buses and the ride of your life! Nobody uses indicators and they drive in the shade on the other side of the road until traffic comes the other way! It's an experience!

There are so many trips to mention, you can hire a car or book trips through the various kiosk in reception.

We did the trip to Gozo which is a must! The ferry port is a short way by bus from the hotel and they cross every 45 mins (4.40 euro return on the ferry) We did the open top bus tour which is well worth it. The bus picks you up at the other side on Gozo and for 10 euros (says 15 euros in the flyer but there are touts as you get off the bus) it takes you to all the places of interest we loved it! Started to tour at 10.30am and got the 6.30pm ferry back all for about 15 euros each for everything.

6.Entertainment: As the dome (lovely indoor theatre style setting) is pretty much the only place for entertainment in the evening it's where everybody goes. there are ample seats outside looking in as well.

We just didn't get the evening entertainment at all, maybe just not for us but we have to say the animation team worked so hard from morning to night with all of then joining in every activity. It does go very quiet around 11-11.30pm as the bars close but this suited us as we are not young ravers anymore!

The drinks available in AI were very good, some branded but if you wanted Malibu they had there own version which was very good! Cocktails were ready mixed but still good with around 10 to choose from.

7.overview: Well what can we say we haven'e already....We loved it here and would have no question in returning. Remember this is only an our opinion everybody has different expectations of their holiday all we can say ours were met beyond our hopes!

Happy holidays
Xx

Room Tip: pool view near cave bar for most sun!

returned from a fortnights stay,at the seabank,at first sight we were very impressed with what we saw, resort great, staff nice, animation brilliant credit to the hotel, but after a few days things did not seem to be the same,we did not get up for early breakfast,we had a late one food was warm and nice, but as the days went on it became cold to the point that when we got our food to the table it was stone cold, evening meals started well good food tasty, but again it went down hill fast,it was tasteless in some parts not fit for human consumption, this may sound harsh but having trained as a chef i know good cooked food, this was not good food,i understand that you have to cater for hundreds of people but a little more pride would not go a miss, part from that we will certainly be returning next year but will be eating at the outside eateries as we found them far better on the pallet, apart from that we have no problems with the hotel credit goes to the room cleaners we stayed in room 2105 it was spotless everyday, overall we enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning next year.
