First time in Malta August 2012 and could not have picked a better hotel, all the staff were really helpful and friendly. The food was very good and varied, the chef even made rum babas especially for my wife as we had missed them the previous night as we were out at a show. Nothing seems too much trouble. The rooms were clean and the maid service excellent.
If booking trips, see Rita in reception, she was great.
We were so impressed we are returning this August.
The only down side we could find was its location, a little remote, but this was not a problem with plenty of local buses stopping outside.

Room Tip: Choose a poolside room on 3rd or 4th floor. The beach view side can be a little noisy with traffic noise.

Satyed here for a week in October and had an excellent stay. Room was a great size for 2 adults and 2 children and housekeeping did a great job. The second large flat screen TV in the kids sleeping area was a bonus!! This was our first all inclusive holiday and it didn't disappoint. The food was amazing and there was an excellent choice every night of different dishes. Each night had a different theme so during our weeks stay very few dishes were repeated. Package also includes a couple of restaurants on the seafront so you can eat outwith the complex a couple of times. the Chinese buffet is also worth visiting a couple of times. Drinks selection was very good and the kids loved the non alcoholic cocktails.
If you want to see some of Malta, buses to most places stop outside the hotel. Valetta is well worth a trip and we loved seeing the walled city of Mdina. Only disappointment was the beach across the road. Although it is 1 of the larger on the island it is bordered by the main road and a concrete wall.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind comments. It is wonderful to know that your first all inclusive family holiday experience was successful.

We are especially happy to hear your children enjoyed the large flat screen TV in their sleeping area and tasty non alcoholic cocktails.

When it comes to the sandy beach across the road, in winter the beach might not look as inviting. However, I can assure you that in summer the beach is nicely populated with sun beads, food / drinks outlets and the wall is barely noticeable.

Many thanks for taking the time to post your wonderful review of Seabank Resort and Spa on TripAdvisor regarding your recent stay with us.

We look forward to welcome you again for another excellent all inclusive stay.
Best wishes,

From start to finish this has been an excellent hotel. This is our last day here and we are so disappointed to be going home. The hotel decor is beautiful, all on a sea theme and very colourful despite white walls that some have moaned about. The colour is on the ceilings and in the bedroom and window fittings. Reception represents driftwood; with excellent yet simple decorations. The rooms and corridors are like a cruise ship , with bedroom furniture representing trunks etc. Very modern, stylish and beautiful. Also more than enough wardrobe & drawer space. Safe, fridge and teamaking equip as standard. One of the best hotel rooms we have stayed in. The food is unbelievably good with tonnes of choice at each meal. The decor in the Coral restaurant believe it or not represents coral. Gorgeous. Bar staff, restaurant staff, reception and cleaners all do their upmost to please. The Animation Team are each and every one of them so very talented that it is impossible to single them out although you must watch Cuba's and Efreida's dancing & Fabio's breakdancing, They are all absolutely genuine in their enthusiasm and friendship. Well done you lot. I know you will all go on to greater things. The Sauna, Spa & gym are wonderful. You must make use of them. Lastly but no means least the management must take credit for an excellent run hotel. We will definitely be back again and again. Please do not change!

Room Tip: speaking to other guests all rooms are equally good although a pool view room does give more sun in winter, but would probably be noisy during the summer months.

Just spent two weeks here and I can only say that the hotel, staff, food, etc were all excellent.
This is the first time we have gone all inclusive and we were not disappointed. The hotel had been completely rebuilt (formerly the Rio) and is very modern, clean and fresh. Cannot fault the cleanliness of the hotel. The hotel has several restuarants to choose from, we mostly used the Coral restuarant, the larger of the restuarants. Such a choice of food each day, we enjoyed trying the different foods on offer. Nothing is too much trouble and if you have a request then the restuarant manager and chef are only to pleased to assist. Alfred Bray and staff are to be commended for their professionalism and pleasant manner in the restuarant. On our last night we ventured down to the Chinese restuarant, a little more cosier and again the food was good. We stayed in a seaview room (Room 6102) and had a lovely view over Mellieha bay. If you want to have a balcony in the sun then unfortunately you need to go other side of the hotel, but we were quite happy with our sea view. Mellieha is quieter than other parts of the island, and has a nice beach. It is near to the ferry to travel to Gozo. The ferry takes about 20 minutes and it is recommended that you visit Gozo. Gozo is smaller than Malta, but much cleaner and prettier.
Their are indoor and outdoor pools and a jacuzzi. The grounds are also kept beautifully clean. The animation team are young, friendly and enthusiastic. They are active in putting on shows, quizzes, and activities for the kids. They were always around chatting to the residents and encouraging them to take part. One of the evenings a guitarist and mandolin player entertained us in the restuarant. They were excellent and we would have liked to have had more evenings with them playing. Transport on Malta is an experience whether you hire a car or go on the buses, either way the roads and driving are a bit mad. Outside the hotel there is a bus stop to take you to most of the island. For 12 euros you can get a 7 day pass on the buses. We hired a car for four days and this was quite reasonable also. Once you get used to the driving and that the rules of the road are largely ignored by other road users, you just go with the flow. Buses are another experience - the times on the timetable often bear no resemblence to when the buses turn up. If you are there for 4 weeks or more then you might not worry than it takes an hour and a half to get to a place and that you may spend anything from 30 minutes to an hour and half waiting for a bus. Some of the drivers are very good, but like in the U.K. Arriva bus drivers may drive past you, even though they see you at the bus stop. We went to one of the shows - Malta night extravaganza which was a pleasant evening out. Picking up times bear no resemblence to what they tell you. If they say 6.30, then be ready half an hour beforehand. They always arrive half an hour before. If you havent been to Malta before there are some lovely places to visit, i.e. Azure window, Dingli cliffs, Sliema, Mdina, Valletta, Marshallox, Blue Grotto, to name but a few. Weather for January was between 14-18 degrees and very pleasant.
