“Top Hotel and Friendly Staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014

We stayed at the Seabanks hotel in June 2014 and this was our first visit to Malta. We booked two rooms as we holidayed with our adult daughter. On arrival we were greeted by friendly reception staff who advised our rooms were being inspected and invited us to go for lunch in the adjacent dining room, while final checks were made.
Both rooms were adjacent to each other on the 4th floor and overlooked the rear of the hotel. Both rooms were excellent and very clean. They had a fridge and free safe as well as tea/coffee facilities. The rooms were kept spotless during our stay.
Meals were available in the main dining room, or alternatively you could book a meal in any one of the four additional speciality restaurants, and could do this free of any additional charges and as often as you wished provided tables were available. These restaurants consisted of an Asian Restaurant, Brazilian, Italian and Mediteranean. We tied all but the Mediterranean and all were superb. We even went to the Brazilian one twice.
Food in the main restaurant was good overall but with an over reliance on lamb chops which featured at just about every meal except breakfast. As this is an all inclusive hotel it was nice to have a glass of wine or beer with your meal. We never saw an instances of over indulgence which can occur at some all inclusive hotels.
The hotel had two pools, one for families and an adult only area with its own pool. Their was always enough sun beds at any time of day so this was never a problem.
Entertainment was via an entertainments team who worked tirelessly to put on activites and shows each day. Some were good, some not so good.
It was easy to get around Malta as a bus stop was outside the hotel for both directions and bus pass for a whole week was only 6 Euros 50. Marvellous value, but the buses were always rammed, which is not surprising at those prices.
The hotel had two bars - one in the entertainment centre and the other facing the front. Both were very good and staff were always polite but busy.
We had an unfortunate incident in the hotel during our stay caused by lack of parental controls of two German children, however this was dealt with by the hotel management.
We would definitely go back to Malta and from our experience we would certainly stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Rooms to the rear of the hotel get afternoon sun, although he front overlooks the sea

We stated at Seabank in eary July and were extremely impressed with the way the hotel was run.
It is a huge complex and caters for many people including locals so has to be on the ball at all times. The logistic of the catering alone must be a nightmare but they do it day in and day out extremely well.

The hotel has a modern, fresh feel to it, our room was well presented, very clean with a pool view as requested. When we arrived our air conditioning was not working properly and I needed a couple of extra pillows a quick word at reception and by the time we had finished our lunch and gone back up stairs both had been sorted.

The food in the main restaurant is amazing you would have to be extremely fussy not to find something to eat, the food is freshly cooked so you never miss out on anything. The menu is huge and posted daily so you know what to look out for. There were several other restaurants which we tried, you have to book but it was never a problem and we enjoyed them all. Yes the restaurant does get busy at weekends with visitors but the efficiency of the waiting staff and their ever present smiles means you can always find a table.

The Head Chef and the General Manager were present in the hotel and restaurant most days, and would take time to chat and ask if there were any problems, this in its self gave you confidence that this was a well run hotel.

We never had a problem getting a sunbed as there were severel different pool areas to choose from including an adult only area which we prefered. We went for a rest as I had been very ill earlier in the year but we did two trips, the Malta Experience and a day tour of Gozo, both were excellent value for money and we had a great guide (the same lady on both tours) and we learnt a great deal about the islands. We also too ourselves into Valletta, we went on a Saturday it was relatively quiet as most people in the city head to the coast at weekends. There is so much to see so plan before you go, we went to the cathedral, the war experience, saw the noon day gun salute at the Grand Harbour, had lunch in a spectacular restaurant and had a tour of one of the grand privately owned houses. I loved Valletta and would like to go back and see some more of it.

Malta is an interesting holiday destination with lots to see, especially if you like history, the weather is great and the Seabank Hotel one of the best all inclusives we have ever stayed in.

Got back from Seabank almost two weeks ago. Before we got there, we were a little bit unsure as we don't usually do all inclusive nor do we usually go for two weeks in the same place. Anyway we didn't need to be unsure as we all had a really great holiday. The hotel was about 45 mins from the airport, we travelled by a private car and the roads were pretty bumpy part of the way.

Once arrived, the check in was very quick and we were allocated the floor we requested prior to arrival and I am so glad we did. We paid for a seaview room and was a bit gutted when I read all the reviews saying pool view is the best, well we had a fantastic seaview room on thr 5th floor above the entrance. I loved the view and yes there is a road in front of the hotel but as we were that far up, it didn't matter at all. ( I guess if you are on 2nd/3rd floor it might not have been as good.) We had a pretty decent size balcony, with two chairs and a table as well as two sun loungers. The rest of the room was fine too, clean and spaceous enough. It was handy to have bottled water provided in the room as well as a small fridge too.

Before I comment on the rest of the hotel, I would like to say a big thank you to Belinda the kids club organiser, she was very friendy and was great with my son as well as Stephanie who was very kind and a fantastic dancer! They have a mini disco from 8.15pm every night for 45 minutes and the kids loved it.

We could see that the entertainment team all worked really hard too, great performances most nights but as we stayed for two weeks, a couple of performances were repeated which was a shame. ( you would have thought they would do a 3 weeks rota) Didn't enjoy the Miss Seabank show at all though, some part of it wasn't appropriate for kids. However having said that we did enjoy a lot of the shows.

Now food- we had different experiences from our first week to the second week. First week the La Vista and the Laguna wasn't great at all, the food were very limited. In fact it put us off so much that we didn't go back to the Laguna at all during the rest of the two weeks. The Coral was great, plenty of choices and the staff worked really hard and fast to clear the tables quickliy to accomodate the full capacity of the hotel. The Head Chief Stephen was very nice and friendly. So was Michael who worked at the Coral. He was never too busy to stop for a friendy hello. The Brazillian was great, we went there twice and loved it both times. We got talking to a couple and they said Laguna was great as it had a bbq and they liked the A la carte at the Italian even though it was super slow and not too busy. But the bbq and a la carte wasn't on offer when we went there, but as we only found out two days prior to our departure, we were a bit annoyed. I spoke to the reception about it as we were not informed and was told they changed it at the beginning of Aug! I said, we should have been told that when we checked it. But we were very pleased that a few hours later, we had a message to say they managed to reserve us a table that night at the Italian. The food was much better the second time round. We were also offered a reservation at the Laguna the following night but as it was our last night there, we wanted to eat at the Coral. But it does show they do try their best to accomodate issues that arises. Nadine at the reception was great.

The spa was worth a visit too. fantastic massage and body scrub! Very reasonably priced.

All in all a fab holiday!

Room Tip: 5th floor seaview was fantastic!

Having previously visited the Seabank last year with a group of friends I knew it would be a good place to return to with my husband and my 10 year old son. I booked the hotel direct via their website and was happy to find that they offer a free return airport transfer which is very handy. I booked a suite with a sea view which really was an amazing view out over Mellieha Bay, and the room was very nice too! We had such a lovely relaxing time at the hotel and a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The hotel has a great gym and spa area which is very quiet and tranquil, an indoor swimming pool, a large outside pool and one slightly smaller pool especially for adults. There was always plenty of sun beds to spare throughout the day which was good, especially if you wanted to go out and then return to sit by the pool later in the day. One thing that we found very good was the variety of restaurants besides the main one, they have a Chinese, Brazilian buffet, Mediterranean, Barbecue, a kids jungle restaurant and an Italian with sea views, all of which you can book as many times as you like. My son enjoyed the kids club activities which were for 4-10 year olds only, and kept him busy and happy a lot of the time. There was evening entertainment every night and also a bar at the front of the hotel overlooking the bay which was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and the staff are all friendly, helpful and attentive and I look forward to going back some time in the future.

Our special holiday to Seabank Resort + Spa included me and my partner getting married in the resort. The hotel was excellent and staff so friendly. The animation team were fantastic and entertained all ages.
On our wedding day the staff were great and nothing was to much trouble.
All our boys enjoyed the pool.
Everywhere was clean and spotless. Food in all the restaurants we visited were excellent, but you have to book in some of them straight away.

Room Tip: Although we had a restricted view, it was pleasant to sit on the balcony of our room and very privat...

Myself my husband and our 13yr old daughter stayed at the Seabank from 28/07/14-12/08/14 what an amazing time we had. We were worried about our daughter being "bored" because of her age but how wrong we were! She had the time of her life and didnt want to come home. This was mainly due to the FANTASTIC Animation Team, Kley,Sara,Irving,Klara,Linda,Balloon Man they couldnt do enough for you, they made you feel so welcome and involved you in everything.(We miss them so much).
The staff in the hotel were all polite and helpful especially Natasha in the Laguna shop and Carmen our house keeper who cleaned our room.
We were quite overwhelmed when we first arrived about the size of the hotel but we needn't have worried, There was never any problem with getting sunbeds the pool never seemed to be over crowded(except when aquagym was on and because it was so good everyone wanted to be involved :) )
We could not fault the food whatsoever the choice you have is unbelieveable the regular restaurant,Asian,Brazilian,Italian, barbeque and Jungle themed for the children.
Yes a child did have an accident(poo) in the pool but the pool was cleared and cleaned straight away with signs put up if people didnt want to adhere to them then thats there own fault and not once did I here any "Drunkun" Brits ther were a few wedding parties that went on but why not we just sat on the balcony and listened to the music.
Would we go back Most definitley. Thank You SeaBank Staff for helping to give us an Amazing holiday and we hope to see you again soon.
P.S my daughter still laughs and smiles every time she thinks of Kley "Shake The Pinata"xx
