I exchanged my timeshare for 6 days here and it was great. Staff was very nice and accomodating. We did not eat at the Resort, too expensive. We ate at the restaurant down the street from there. It is located near a town, but we caught the bus and went to Veletta and Gozo. The trip to Gozo was great, I bought some really nice sweaters. I would love to visit this Resort again, as I had a very good experience there.

Room Tip: My room was facing the Sea!

We stayed in this hotel for a week this month & we enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. The food is very good with different menu every night and the rooms are very clean. I can assure everyone that the staff are trustworthy as we left my camera and we didn't found out until the day after we returned. We are waiting for it in the post.

This is the very first time I have reviewed something but I think it needs to be said -- You can see by many other reviews, some good and some bad that the main word that keeps cropping up is “ time share “ it is a great hotel but unfortunately it is also being taken over droves and droves of time share people / family’s looking for cheap week holiday and do not really appreciate the hotel and the quality’s it has to offer, some visitors very rude and have no respect for staff or other paying guests. These guys need to go to costa dell Spain.
It’s this time share aspect that is dragging down the name of the Radisson, we have stayed in many Radissons and this one is unfortunately the only one that seems to be going down the route of “kiss me quick hat” – well in my opium anyway.
When you’re staying at the hotel there is very clearly two divides to the complex – the Radisson hotel on the one side and Azure Group promotions on the other and it’s this that is the problem.
I have no dote many do by into this 33 year package but this is at the cost of 100s of normal holiday makers. These cheap £199 Azure promotions only invite bucket loads of cliental looking for a cheap holiday and no more – and this is reflected in the lower standards now apparent at the hotel.

It’s just unfortunate that the Radisson group can’t see this. The location and hotel is cracking – but on a bad week you will be spending all your time among time shares reps doing their thing and buy is it annoying so be warned.

By the way the room, the staff food and everything else associated with the hotel was brilliant, couldn't fault it in any way.

Great resort, pool and beach. We traded our time share for a week here and it was very nice. Best part was the beach. Steps down to a sand beach with a private and public side. Public side had a couple great little spots for lunch and dinner and great gelato. Didn't eat at any of the restaurants at the resort as they were priced like resort restaurants. Only draw back is you're not walking distance to any of the towns. The bus was pretty convenient but would have been nice to walk. Rooms were cleaned every day which is an upgrade for a normal time share trade. Friendly and helpful staff. If you want to lay on the beach for a week, this is the place for you.

We stayed 22-29 July '13. We went on the Azure promotion package and despite being a worrier all concerns were eliminated when our free private transfer was ready and waiting at the airport. Hotel transfer took 20-30 minutes and we were checked in quite a few hours early and had an arrival drink whilst the room was being inspected. Hotel reception were fabulous, went beyond level if expectation and super friendly just like all other staff in the hotel. ALL staff deserve much praise for excellent customer service, they really do serve quickly, know their menu's and hotel inside out and staff in Agliolio met our various fussy food requests and knew every ingredient! Great value for money- we ate here 5 times in all! Thank you!!!

Hotel facilities include a massive lagoon style pool, with sunbeds compacted close together due to the lack of pool side space in comparison to tourists, but beds always available, although hurt your neck as are at an akward angle when lying down. There's a separate quieter pool further on in the resort which is still a great size, and in between pools a quieter 'garden' area with sunbeds which are far more comfortable and quiteter again.

We had a self catering room which we didn't have to pay an upgrade for which meant we could buy groceries, there is a mini mart on site which is moderately priced, but of course consider Euro rates as is generally more expensive. I took a multi pack of Kellogs cereals with me! The kitchenette had loads of plates/bowls/glasses/cutlery/serving bowls and so on, a hob, big fridge, washing up sink. The bedroom had his and hers sinks, big shower/bath, bathrobes and toiletries- like an exec room in the UK. Sofa bed and mini bar and dining table also in room and balcony overlooking a quiet car park and fields, glad we didn't upgrade to pool side as noise from pools and bars etc., although was minimal.

Hotel is in the middle of Golden Bay, a very nice sandy beach where all the locals BBQ and gather at night, and bus route is right outside, and the North tour open bus also goes from outside round the corner to the left of the publc bus stop.

Bear in mind you need shuttles/bus/taxi to go anywhere as is a restricted location, but I prefer peace and quiet so was good for me away from touristic areas but with a couple of beach side cafes and stalls next to the beach/hotel you will not be stuck.

We went on the north and south open top bus tours, north was better and goes to Mdina, the silent village/old town, and we also went on a boat/open bus trip to Gozo, Camino and the Blue Lagoon which was mass tourism hoarding. We abandoned the boat trip and got a speedboat back with Oki Kokey company- which was amazing, really made our day, super fast and thrilling ride which lasted an hour for €15 each! They sit next to the boat at the Blue Lagoon if you too want to do this, otherwise if just doing lagoon trip they do mini 15 minute speed boat rides from there.

Finally... The sales meeting with Azure was fine, it takes 4 hours and they do try to make an effort to get to know you and seem very genuine. We did sign up however with all our questions we were there 8 hours in total, and paid €1100 fee, however we then backed out, causing a bit of upset to the team but the compliance team were empathetic and DID refund our fee, though we misunderstood and it turns out the fee was for a Pre-Paid non refundable week at hotel in the future- miscommunication between both parties- they were more than fair and did give us our money back, and we are sorry for the aggro or upset we caused but was settled and I thank Marion/Joce for their help and understanding. They DO NOT pressure you and are so helpful and informative and all above board. Thank you.

Overall Malta is quite a concrete island as is Gozo, but considering how cheap flights are, and the amazing promotion we got with Azure this was an amazing value for money holiday on the beautiful resort of Radisson. We were more than accommodated by Azure with a comp breakfast and dinner vouchers, free lunch and drinks, and can't thank them enough for that.

Well done Radisson & Azure for a seamless and brilliant service and opportunity to visit Malta and the Golden Sands.
