Just home from an amazing week in malta! Went on promo trip with no intention of buying anything. From start to finish everything was first class. In a nutshell it was that good that we became members and plan to return in October with the kids. Bradley, our ep was a gentleman, couldn't have been more helpful, and we had loads of questions that he answered for us. Malta is a beautiful country, loads of history and this hotel is fantastic!

Room Tip: Country view rooms are excellent if you want peace and quiet.

We are regulars at this resort and rank it quite highly on our list of favourite places to stay. The location is superb set above the bay with access to a sandy beach and away from the busy resort towns. This does of course have the slight drawback of requiring transportation if you want to eat, drink and be merry off-resort and the hotel does know how to charge for those who choose to eat and drink in-house. The hotel has a number of restaurants offering a range of foods to suit different moods and pockets but the fine dining experience offered in Essence is both exquisite and expensive. In my opinion the chef excels when it comes to the seafood dishes and at least one meal in this restaurant is a must when visiting. The facilities at the resort are many and excellent but, I would recommend hiring a car. However, be warned that parking is limited on the resort and it is not uncommon to find that all the spaces are taken and you are faced with a 5 minute walk back from the car park near the entrance to the site. Despite the on-site food and drink prices and the parking we have never been disappointed when staying here.

A superb Hotel based in the North West coast of Malta, sandy beaches and a nice breeze. The Hotel is simply the best I have ever stayed in. Food is superb, all the Radisson chefs train here, (so I have been told). I actually own a week here as a member of the Island Resort club. Well worth the money. A major benefit is that it is only a short hop from England. Total relaxation guaranteed. Food here is a major factor of enjoyment, fresh fish and salads in abundance.
All rooms are spotless, clean fresh towels everyday, big soft beds, well furnished with top quality fabrics, cleaned well every day. Full air conditioning and ceiling fans in all rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea facing room as high up as you can go. 9th floor if possible. Buy a meal package half...

We stayed at this hotel as one of many guests invited to learn about timeshare. We did not buy the timeshare and I can say that our salesman was very curteous when we said we were not interested. Chris gave us a good experience of a timeshare salesman. The rooms were great; ours had a kitchenette as well as the usual comfortable large room with bed, tv, sofa and all the extras in the bathroom. The balcony overlooked a rugged area for walkers and we could see the sea. We preferred it to the other side of the hotel overlooking the sea. They were gorgeous but could have been hot in the afternoon. We had a half board package booked through the hotel for 4 of the 7 nights so ate in the Flavours restaurant. Josette was an absolute delight. She showed us everything the first night and made sure we were ok on every occasion we ate there. The breakfasts are out of this world and evening meals are good too with plenty of choice. The hotel has a little shop so we could get things for other meals if we did not choose to go to the other restaurants. We did try the Italian -Anglios I think - but we did not enjoy the meal. It was a noisy, echoing place and our pasta was a great disappointment. The wine seemed more expensive there too. With the hotel we had a 20% discount card given to us so that was useful. There is a lovely large quiet patio where we read books and were looked after very well when we did not want to join the mele at the swimming pool.
We swam in the sea and one warning I would mention is the part of the beach for the hotel is very rough with stones and small boulders. Unfortunately the seaweed and bits drift to that side. Just walk to the other part of the beach when the Maltese go and it is all sand far out into the water. It is a shallow place and swimming is easty.
All the staff at the hotel were so friendly and full of knowledge of the area. Drifters took us to and from the airport - transfers were part of our package - and they were on time and pleasant. All in all it was a tremendous treat for us. We would certainly recommend it.

Room Tip: Rooms on the sea side may be hot in the afternoon.

Beautiful location, Fabulous staff. Easy beach access with fabulous panoramic views. This hotel is a little off the beaten track although public transport is on the doorstep and is cheap and regular with easy connections to other parts of the island.
