A really lovely place, amazing view from bedroom balcony, staff friendly and helpful. My husband booked this as a surprise for our wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. The rooms are simple, very clean and have all you need. The resort itself is small and charming. No beach is not a disadvantage as the swimming from the rocks is easy via ladders into the sea.

Room Tip: ook a sea view you will not be disappointed

I was very happy to have chosen San Andrea. The staff were fantastic, made me feel right at home, always ready with big smiles and a hello. Walking distance to great swimming areas, buzzing with people and enough shops around for basic necessities. The room was very comfortable, clean, my only wish was if they only had a small kettle in the room to make coffee in the mornings when i woke up. Breakfast was good, I loved the Maltese bread. Unfortunately I did not get to try the restaurant as it was very full every night. Overall highly recommended, would definitely stay here again when I am back in Gozo. Cheers!

Room Tip: Get the sea view room, worth it for such a beautiful view everyday!

Gozo is Malta's sister island and well worth a longer visit than a one day bus or boat tour. It is less urbanized than Malta and more laid-back. Apart from Victoria the capital and some of the inland villages with their quiet streets and finely renovated Maltese-style fortified houses, there is Xlendi, once a small fishing village and now a small seaside resort looking on a cove. The place is scenic and a tourist destination. I was there in mid-September and that was great. August and July should be more touristy. The place is ideal for swimming and snorkeling, especially in deeper waters at the entrance of the bay.
The San Andrea Hotel might be the best in Xlendi even if its conception and appreciation of tourist accommodation is a little too conventional. We were somewhat cramped for room and the bathroom lacked in shelves for toiletry and things. The fixtures of the shower cord were either broken or rusty. The mattress was springy. Obviously there is room for improvement. I am sure the management is sensitive to customers' advice and suggestions . The hotel is family-owned and its director is attentive to clients' needs, always present at breakfast and exchanging friendly words with everyone. Employees are more smiling and friendly during service than at other moments. Dinner is a privileged moment and the food is good. One is waited on with professionalism and kindness. The head waiter was perfect when asked about Maltese wines.
As a conclusion, the San Andrea hotel should be recommended, but it does require some kind of modernizing so as to address today's customers' aspirations. In a time of globalized tourism, Malta is a choice destination but not the only one. The San Andrea hotel has assets on which it should capitalize.

Recently returned from 5 days in Xlendi - great holiday, lots of snorkelling, kayaking etc. Very easy to arrange boat trips around the island or hire a boat yourself for the day. The staff were very helpful; lovely hotel and good food. Live music from local musicians a couple of nights in the restaurant. We had a sea view room with balcony - the view was superb. Only slight downside is that the rooms are quite small and there's not much storage and there is a little noise from the road. Having said that it is a location and hotel we would return to.

We stayed at this hotel for a fews days and a had a seaview room. The room was quite small, but it was kept clean and tidy but adequate for two of us.The view from our room was magnificent. One small point to be aware of is as this hotel is in the front on top of restaurant and very near to the road it can be noisy at times with traffic and people ect.
Bus stop, car park and restaurants around the area is very much accessible.
There was free WiFi at this hotel which is plus.
At the back of hotel next to the car park Galeteria Icecream place is a MUST.
The reception staff are friendly and excellent and check-in and out was a breeze.Restaurant staff are not as friendly but acceptable. One negative remark about this hotel is that although the Breakfast was included and was suppose to be Continental,,but was very poor selection.
But all in all our stay was at this hotel was pleasant.

Room Tip: Seaview room away from main road if possible.
