Reviewed 26 March 2014

We had two nights here at the start if March in a Borneo Eco tours tour. Everything was fantastic! The rooms are lovely, setting wonderful, food was amazing and staff were brilliant! I hope to return again one day. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

This is a great place to see wildlife, we saw elephants, probocis monkeys, macacs, crocodile, Orangutangs (I'd highly recommend the Red Ape encounters tour) and a load more stuff. The guides were high quality as well. The Room was very high standard and the food was decent. All staff were polite and helpful.

This is one of those few places you promise yourself one day you will return. Ok, it’s not 5 star quality accommodation, nor is it 5 star quality cuisine, but it is a unique experience, with 5 star ambience and location. The guides and staff do a great job. Being on the water creates a special atmosphere, the rooms are quite large and comfortable and the food quite acceptable. It’s really quite simple, but it gets right what needs to be got right and hits the spot perfectly. We saw Orang Utan at Rasa Ria, we saw them in Sepilok, but here we saw them free to roam, we saw them several times, and even spotted one from the lodge boardwalk. Proboscis monkeys on the opposite side of the river on two nights. And millions of bats leaving the caves with bat hawks in close attendance. Sukau Lodge was good enough for Sir David Attenborough, and it was certainly good enough for me.

This was a great experience. The food was good local cuisine. If you are a picky eater (most american group travelers) you probably shouldn't travel.
As all have said, the flora and fauna are wonderful!!!!!!!! The guides are very knowledgeable.
For a special treat buy some freshwater prawns from one of the local fisherman and ask the chef to prepare them as the locals do. Yummy!!!!!

We spent 3 days and 2 nights at the Sukau Rainforest Lodge. What a fantastic experience!! The Borneo jungle is unique and having the opportunity to experience it's beauty from such a terrific resort was amazing.
Staff really friendly, all meals excellent quality.
Everything about the resort was first class, the staff, the facilities, the tour guides.
Would recommend Borneo Eco Tours to all.

We saw pretty much everything we had wanted to see by the time we arrived at the lodge. Pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys, crocodiles...the list goes on.
The lodge itself is very well appointed considering you are in the middle of the rainforest, comfy rooms, good buffet style food and friendly and knowledgable staff.

Highly recommend taking a wander around the boardwalk they have constructed at the back of the lodge, some little gems were seen out there...amazing spiders, butterflies, lizards and even a hornbill.

Keep an eye out for the barking gecko...you never know where he will show up.

Great accommodation, food and very friendly staff. Would like to visit again. We saw wild orang utangs, proboscis monkeys, only one elephant, but very close by. Lots of wonderful birds. I am really surprised that people take young children. There were none there when we visited. I would not have thought it would be very good to have them on a boat next to us. All the viewing we did was from boats, which were well equipped and could change to very quiet electric motors, when we drew close to wildlife
