“Hotel Trabuco”

2 star hotel on a busy main road just a 10 min walk down to the beach. The hotel may only be a 2 star but the cleanliness is 5 star. The room was perfectly adequate for my needs. The air conditioning was a godsend in 35 degree heat, it had a quiet mode so could be left on all night. The shower was powerful. The only disappointment was breakfast - not all that, very basic other than that a very good, clean hotel.

My second stay here, two years on and it has changed little, the addition of the rooftop plunge / swimming pool is a big bonus as we were able to book out of the hotel then spend the day on this roof area till our flight back. Rachael (the translator) & Carlos were excellent in the customer service dept! We asked fo a balcony and we're not disappointed, ok there is traffic noise thro the night, but we were tired so not a problem & it was great for people watching, lovely area, lovely hotel, great service, great break!
Yes we will use again.

I stayed at Hotel Trabuco for 2 nights after flying into Murcia-San Javier airport late in the evening (taxi from airport cost 10 euros). I had asked for a quiet room and was given an internal room (i.e. not facing onto the road) so my view was of a concrete wall and the internal patio area. The room was spacious with a TV, wardrobe, table & chair and a decent bathroom and was clean. The air con unit worked very well, but was a little old and therefore noisy during the night. Wi-fi access was great in the room. My only issue was waking up in the middle of the night and finding a silverfish in my bed!

Breakfast was included and was a typical Spanish offering of coffee, fresh orange juice and toast with jam served in the restaurant downstairs. The lovely beach and shops were about 10 mins walk away. There is a little Dia supermarket near the hotel and a bigger Aldi & Lidl about 10 mins walk in the opposite direction to the sea. Although it wasn't open whilst I was there, it looked like they were preparing to open their roof-top garden area complete with little swimming pool, which would be a nice space to relax in the sun.

The bus stop to Murcia was just across the road from the hotel.

I stayed at The Hotel Trabuco as everywhere else was full and I was pleasantly surprised.
The hotel is situated on a main road in Santiago de la Ribera in South Spain but is only about 6 minutes walk from the beach.
The hotel has good air conditioning a good bathroom and is immaculately clean.
The main thing though is the staff , they are really friendly and always willing to help.
There is a bar in the hotel and they will even make you a cheeseburger and a beer to take to your room a the end of the day.
Some English hotels could learn a lot from this kind of attitude

We stayed here for a week in August. We visit the area a couple of times a year but the house we usually stay in was fully booked. Would highly recommend this hotel. The room was very clean, air conditioning was very good and the staff were friendly. The only thing that would have made it better was if we'd a balcony or some sort of view, we looked out onto what I think was the emergency exit. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony but this could be noisy as I think they are on the main road

My husband and I stayed here foe a week in September on a half board basis. We were pleasantly surprised by the location, the staff, the rooms and the service provided. The food was good and proper spanish. Yes you should speak a bit of the language but all the staff members are trying the up most best to accommodate you. We will be back that is a definite.

This hotel is extremely good value for money. We arrived at Murcia San Javier airport and drove to the hotel in about 10 minutes. There is a free car park just down the road from the hotel. The rooms were very clean and the staff very helpful. We ate dinner in the restaurant from the set menu which was described to us by the waiter - great food and also very good value for money. The breakfast was also good value - simple but sufficient. If I have to travel into Murcia San Javier again, I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.
