The resort was impeccably maintained. Literally, not a spider web, rust spot, or any other deferred maintenance to be witnessed on the entire property. You will feel like you landed in the 1950s with the waiters in suits looking well dressed and ready for your instructions. The beach was intimate and the yoga / fitness center was a small walk along the beach which sort of created a cool transition to be mentally focused. The managers were quick to introduce themselves (Mancita, we will always remember you) and they always said hello and remembered our names as if we were there many times before. While on the subject, most of the visitors I spoke to had already been to Round Hill two or three times in the past and kept coming back. After our stay, it was easy to understand why. The hotel was a little private paradise which I would highly recommend. One other note, Kingsley was a unique individual who knew what we wanted before even opening our mouth. He paired us with the perfect nanny and I recommend families with young children to explore this service.

Room Tip: We booked through Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Round Hill is a fantastic resort for so many reasons. Everyone is exceptionally friendly and helpful and the services and amenities cannot be beat. We had the pleasure of staying in cottage 6 and were treated to delicious breakfasts in our cottage featuring both American and Jamaican cuisine, including beautiful platters of local fruit.. The staff at cottage 6 (Angela, Karen, Eulet, and Delroy) were so kind and thoughtful. They helped make our trip a memorable one.

I travel to Montego Bay regularly for business and usually stay at Round Hill. Even when I stay for just one night, the resort is just what the doctor ordered after a demanding day of travel and work: quiet, comfortable, beautiful and with genuinely caring, efficient and attentive staff. The natural surroundings are simply stunning (with the most amazing view of Montego Bay on the east side of the property), rooms and other amenities are wonderfully designed and thoughtfully appointed, and all supplies are of a high quality. I highly recommend a pre-breakfast swim in the infinity pool, an early morning walk or jog on the jogging trail, or a visit to the idyllic spa, as I did near the end of my recent visit. Food is generally excellent, with due care for healthy, wholesome food choices - the fresh juices are to die for and are made with fruit and vegetables from the property's own organic farm. The Jamaican classic dish, ackee and saltfish, is flawless and a must at breakfast. If interested, also pay some attention to the fascinating history of the resort: its important role in the development of Jamaican tourism and its role as a favorite vacation destination for many well known persons, JFK and his young family included - the photographs in the bar area tell a most fascinating story. Finally, I should also mention that the WiFi signal quality is impeccable throughout the property, which is a big plus for those of us who have no choice but to stay connected at all times. I travel a lot, much of it in the Caribbean, and Round Hill is, hands down, my favorite home away from home.

Room Tip: I've stayed in various rooms in the Pineapple House as well as in several cottages and found all...

Roundhill is other worldly. A place where time stands still and you are enveloped in the healing powers of nature's beauty. The Resort is beautiful beyond description and the service is impeccable. I have travelled to Jamaica many times and visited other parishes and resorts. Roundhill is my favorite place. The villa we stayed in was opulent! The villa staff was considerate and efficient. They attempt to make your stay as comfortable as they can in every way. I looking forward to my next visit.

Room Tip: The villa experience is worth every penny!!

Lovely property with great ocean views, small beach with ample seating, beautiful infinity pool (wish there were more shady areas at the pool). The staff was wonderful, friendly & polite and accommodating. We stayed 4 nights in a beach front patio room. The room was clean and well appointed. Our room had a very comfortable king bed, with a comfy sitting area, large bathroom with 2 sinks, soaking tub and shower. We did the all inclusive plan which included transfers, boat ride and rafting ride and of course all meals and drinks, well worth it! The food was wonderful! They offered a varied menu selections, delicious fresh fruit & veggies along with a smoothie bar at breakfast. There were theme nights during our stay. One night was farm to table, where they use all locally grown produce, Jamaica night (not my fav., but good) Great breakfast and lunch with a wonderful staff!
We had amazing massages at the spa and loved that it was secluded from the other parts of the resort. A beautiful path by the ocean guides you to the spa. The spa pool was great although the deck area could use some weeding and TLC. Nonetheless, it had an amazing view of the ocean and was quiet and peaceful.
Have to say that we loved the property especially the warm and friendly staff who were everywhere . The only draw backs we found were the spa pool area needing a little TLC and the noise from the planes over head making their way into the airport to land.
All in all we loved Round Hill and will return again!

Room Tip: Patio rooms are a must! Higher floor rooms only afford a window view. None of the rooms have TV

Wow – what an incredible place. My wife, infant son and I traveled to Round Hill in June for a little over a week and stayed in an Oceanfront Room at the Pineapple House. My wife, having visited Round Hill before, had nothing but amazing things to say of the property which I fully understood when we arrived at the entrance. Driving onto the grounds, you feel as if you’ve arrived onto someone’s private ranch – green lawns, tropical flowers and white cottages tucked into the hillside. We arrived in the evening to a lobby lit up with candles, and were promptly offered an ice-cold rum punch that washed away the hectic flight in. After a pleasant check-in, we were escorted to our second-story room in the Pineapple House that was well appointed, comfortable and had an incredible view of the water and beach. The bellman brought us a crib in the pouring rain and then stayed and dried it off completely. After freshening up, we headed up to the restaurant along the beach path where we were serenaded by the sounds of crickets and the water lapping the shore – talk about ambiance! Monday’s dinner theme is Beach BBQ, however the rain that evening moved dinner up into the restaurant. Although we weren’t on the beach, the dinner was delicious and the service in the restaurant made us feel at home.

Over the next week, we thoroughly took advantage of just about everything Round Hill has to offer. We loved taking the baby between the infinity pool right on the beach and the swimming area in the bay to cool off as it was in the 90s everyday. My wife and I took turns snorkeling in the reef out front, and we took the pedal boat out with the little guy who enjoyed it too. We loved that the hotel lends out snorkel gear, kayaks, pedal boats and even their hobie cat! It’s a great way to explore the water and is fun for the whole family. One morning we took the glass bottom boat tour which was a nice way to see the hotel & grounds from the water – including Ralph Lauren’s villa (not to mention see under the water for those who didn’t want to get wet).

The restaurant was great, as were the beach bars and cocktail lounge. Since there is just one restaurant on property, it is nice that they have the various theme nights for dinner so that you have a good variety during the week. Our favorite dinner night was the Beach BBQ on the water (that we got to experience the following Monday). They place tables right on the sand and line the water’s edge with tiki torches. A Jamaican band played Caribbean music and the dinner selections were superb (loved the steak!). We would recommend having an after-dinner cocktail in the corner booth of the cocktail lounge and perusing the black and white photos of past guests and celebrities. Also, during the day, the beach bars (either near the pool or on the beach) are great spots for a Red Stripe. A few other dishes we loved during our stay and would recommend are the Jamaican Pulled Pork Tacos for lunch, and one of the fresh-made smoothies for breakfast.

One night, we went off-property to the Houseboat Grill, which is a fantastic spot in Montego Bay to change it up a bit. The actual restaurant is a wooden houseboat that floats on the water, and you take a little “ferry” over that is all part of the experience! Great food and drinks, and it’s fun to check out the marine life from the outside deck.

A few things that stood out to us at Round Hill during the week were the Manager’s Cocktail Reception on Wednesday night – which was a great way to meet other guests and enjoy a few glasses of wine – The Pineapple Room – where we watched World Cup matches with new friends – and the Kids Club – which we didn’t use ourselves but saw kids having a great time with the staff and engaging in all sorts of activities. The resort is very family-friendly and with all the activities going on plus the kids club, it allows a family to have a luxury getaway and the kids have an amazing time as well.

My wife loved the spa, where she had a scrub and massage. It is about a 5-minute walk from the main beach area down this beautiful beach bath next to the jungle. She loved the tranquil setting of the spa, which is adults-only during spa hours. They have lounge chairs and day beds on the lawn so I imagine it is a great place to escape for a nap.

We had the opportunity to tour some of the villas which were absolute luxury. Each villa is designed differently but all incorporate the Caribbean feel with indoor/outdoor space, incredible lawns and landscaping, and even private pools. We loved the Pineapple House for the view and proximity to the beach, but next time will book a villa to have even more space for the family - by then we might just have another kiddo in tow!

Overall, our stay was nothing short of amazing. The service and warmness from all of the staff made us feel at home and very welcomed. The longevity that most of the staff have worked at Round Hill (most were over 20 years!) speaks volumes to how much they love it there and the pride they take in their work. We are very much looking forward to bringing our family here for years to come!

Room Tip: Book the Pineapple House to be right on the water, or stay in a Villa for privacy and space!
