My Husband and I are big fans of Fairmont Hotels as they have a classy vibe without the pretentious air that makes it unwelcoming.
It's our 2nd time staying here (2012 and 2014) and here goes my PROS and CONS review.
-As mentioned at the top, we love the quality of this hotel (Grounds, Beaches and Room)
-Greeted with Kukui nuts Leis when you first arrived. Makes you feel welcomed right away
-Staff are extremely friendly. Walking from our room to the dining room, all staff that passes by greeted you with sincerity
-Shuttles provided back and forth to the plaza (Grocery store, restaurants, coffee shop etc)
-Complimentary bikes for Gold Members (small fee for other guests)
-We were not too keen on the restaurant quality during lunch time. As expected, we would pay a higher rate at the Fairmont. Although the quality and price did not align at all. We avoided eating at the hotel.
-This is the case for the Big Island as a whole anyway: No Nightlife. We weren't looking to party, but there were very minimal things happening at night time for guests pass 10pm.
Overall, we would stay here again!
