“Welcome tea and loo stop at the start of an 8 mile walk”

Our coach dropped our party of walkers off in Skinningrove to start our 8 mile walk to Runswick Bay. We were opposite this community centre and called in. Nearly all of us had drinks and we could see that well-priced snacks and meals were available.

I would think that the centre is a great meeting place for the residents in this village and it is also a useful resource for walkers passing through. There is a book swap (or make a donation if you haven't got a book to swap with you).

Service with a smile and complementary biscuits.

Half way round our walk of the Cleveland Way, we stopped at Skinningrove and came upon the Riverside Centre. We were made very welcome and ordered two cups of coffee. The lady brought these to us together with a plate of biscuits.

We had a nice chat and they told us about there centre. There was a book swap area, and even though I didn't have a book to swap, they let me take a book.

The premises were clean and tidy, its just a shame they have to fund themselves. Such community places should be given some sort of funding.

Will definitely call again when in the area.

This is a wonderful place to stop if you are in the area, Kerry made us very welcome, and David showed us around his award winning garden, the foods great and you can even buy fresh produce and lovely home made cakes from their little shop, we will be back.

Lovely location in the middle of a quaint village. Very helpful and friendly staff, lively cafe serving hot and cold food, cakes and scones. Also serves as a co-op 3 days a week (soon to be 5 days a week) selling locally grown fruit and veg, meats, pies and much more. Alll in all a lovely place to go if hollidaying or talking a coastal walk.
