Staying at the new Deep Water Inn in Murray River was the best part of our trip to PEI...the owners of the inn along with their children took care of us for two and a half days...we stayed in the Pacific Room and had a wonderful view of the Northumberland Straight. We have stayed in B & B's before...but this one is one of the best...friendly and accommodating in every way from the tasty breakfasts, the wine in our room, wireless internet, great reccommedations for dinner to even doing our laundry! You can't go wrong staying at the Deep Water Inn. There are four wonderfully decorated spacious rooms at the inn...two of them have water views and the other two look out over the farm. They have a large dining room and a small library with lots of books and useful info about PEI. The Murray River area of PEI offers a lot of fun things to do such as...taking a C-Plane ride over the harbour and the lovely potato fields, going for a 2 hour adventure ride to check out the harbour seals, grabbing a sip of wine at the small but charming Rossinol winery and you can even check out some buffalo at a small farm with a look out tower. Go early for dinner as restaurants close around 8 or 9 pm. Be sure to bring a light rain jacket as PEI's weather is always unpredictable. For bicycle riders there are many trails in PEI on the Confederation Trail...but even if you venture off the trail on the smaller roads, you will find the roads are pretty safe...and the veiws of the farms, lighthouses and beaches are spectacular.
