Very out of the way. We walked in the day which was fine but wouldn't want to walk at night as roads are unlit and there are many dogs. Dave the owner was great and drove us to and from town but that service finishes at 8pm and then it gets pricey in a taxi.

They have a very cute dog that walked round the quiet roads with us and made me feel safe- so thank you!

Food was lovely as was the pool. Rooms were basic but clean with good wifi.

All in all great value for money!

It is far from the center, you will need a motorbike for daily transport. But, very nice place, great pool, nice staff, and good place for those, who want to rest for few days.
The wifi could be better.

We arrived by Lomprayah ferry and took up their offer of 150thb per person transfer to anywhere on the island. (This compared to 1500 or 1200thb for taxi at the pier.) We were warmly greeted and offered a choice of rooms. My bag was carried upstairs by the female staff member.

We stayed 4 nights here in the peaceful surrounds on the outskirts of Lamai Beach. Clean rooms with excellent wifi in room and good, hot rain shower. Pool was lovely and sun lounges always available. We took up the offer of free transport to and from town - we went down twice some days, for a swim in the morning, and dinner in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble. We walked down to the beach one morning but found it to be 30 minutes or more. It was a lovely stroll through the local neighbourhood, but got a little hot.

I found the bed a little lumpy and hard, so as previously mentioned in a Tripadvisor review (thank you!), we were offered a mattress topper which solved the small problem. Excellent!

If you are wanting to be right at the beach, then this hotel is not for you. However, we didn't want the noise and lights of the bars to intrude on our peaceful getaway, so it was perfect for us. The food was good, and the owners Dave and Paul are keen on making your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. This is a lovely place.

Room Tip: There are only two levels with all rooms having balconies and a view of the pool. Upstairs gives you...

I stayed at this hotel for 2 out of the 3 booked nights. Although the hotel itself is quite Alright, and the staff really are very nice, helpful and obliging, I found the location to be inconvenient. The hotel does not try to hide the fact that it isn't exactly on the beach, so I suppose the mistake was mine. However, I did not enjoy the room. The bed is extremely uncomfortable, and either the plumbing or the air-conditioner made some sort of racket at night which woke me up. I didn't have a good sleep there.

Aside from that, the hotel pool is tiny, you really can only soak there, not really swim... the food is only Alright, much much better food is available on the beach. The Wi-Fi is in and out, but works fine for the most part. Overall, if you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this will do fine, as long as you don't have a bad back or want to be in a convenient location close to the beach.

Arrived to a very warm welcome from the staff who then escorted us to our room. Room was very spacious and clean as was the bathroom. Hotel is located in a very peaceful location and is still within walking distance of Lamai. Ate at the restaurant a few times and the food was always very tasty and authentic. Room has a kettle with complementary tea and bottled drinking water is left in the room daily.

We stayed here for 6 nights having decided to extend our stay as we liked the laid back style and informality. Paul and his staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room was of a good size complete with shower en suite, fridge, safe, AC and balcony overlooking the pool. Although the place is about 15 - 20 minutes walk to the centre of the town, Paul was only too happy to offer a free taxi service whenever we wanted. The food was excellent with everything freshly cooked at any time of day. We particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet that the resort offered, especially the pool and bar area enabling guests to socialise. We chose to hire a scooter which Paul kindly arranged enabling us to see much of the island, although extreme caution is advised. Overall we were delighted to have stayed here, very well run - an ideal base if you are looking for some peace and quiet on a very busy island.

Room Tip: Ask for a room around 207 for views and overlooking the pool.

This hotel was brilliant the staff were really lovely they chatted and smiled all day long. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from town which was great for us as we wanted peace and quiet while still being able to head out for tea or a few drinks although the food at the hotel was brilliant and they will make you anything you like. It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach but it is worth the walk ask the ladies at the hotel where to go, they told us about the little quiet beach which is abit closer and is was lovely really quiet and out the way of all the beach bar. We stay here for 10 days and I cud have honestly stayed longer as I loved it I would defiantly stay again!
