I have been here for a few times but the last visit was about two years ago.I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the museum has gone an extensive renovation and major face lift. Highly recommended to people who want to find out more about Pahang history. Do not forget to visit the Boat museum just across the street , its free and very educational.

This museum was an unexpected gem: the building is beautiful and well maintained. The building is surrounded by modern sculptures. Inside there are a large variety of exhibits: the hall with exhibits on the Orang Asli is excellent, as are the halls with asian wooden games and artefacts. I am not really interested in hunting trophies or polo (which are the artefacts in some of the other halls), but there was more than enough to keep me busy for 1 1/2 hours.

This is a lovely museum. Normally empty of people although you might get a school group going through.

Live music show using the old instruments and when questioned were very knowledgeable.

The history and artifacts are more interesting than the private quarters and it is well presented.

15 ringitt charge for entry. Don't expect the cafe to be open unless they have a big group.
