Really welcoming and lovely place. Stayed the last couple of days of the islands St Patricks celebrations and couldn't have had a better time. Fabulous lounging area with amazing views around the pool. Going out for dinner in Montserrat you need to phone and order at lunchtime so they can shop and prepare for that evening. Manager phoned one of her recommendations 'Uncles' for our group to order and organised vegan options for us. We joined them, their family and some other guests for a really pleasant evening with volcano and ocean views. We organised a car through Miles Away and they arranged for it to be waiting at the port, they also arranged a tour of the exclusion zone of the volcano. They could not do enough to make us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay. I would definitely stay there again if I'm ever lucky enough to go to Montserrat again.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- 'Home away from home.' The suites have an air-conditioned bedroom with king/queen sized or twin beds. For natural cross breeze ventilation, switch off the a/c and open the screened louvered window. Each suite opens onto a patio with glimpses of the blue Caribbean sea through a profusion of palm fronds. Concealed behind louvered doors is a kitchenette for the preparation of drinks and light meals. After exploring Montserrat, "the way the Caribbean use to be," come back to your private accommodation, enjoy a drink on the patio, watch the birds flitting through the foliage, watch for the green flash as the sun goes down - for the quintessential Caribbean experience. At night, lie back, be seduced by the sight of the moon shining through the palms, and enjoy nature's music: the song of the frogs, the sound of waves lapping on the shore, the river and the trade winds rustling through the foliage. ... more less
