Easy going relaxed atmosphere. A 500 year old pub with accommodation- so the rooms are small but spotlessly clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food excellent quality. Location is perfect especially if your a walker, its right by the Langdales. We just had a great time - our 3rd visit- and will be back again soon.

Another night spent here, and once again not a single let down. Booked it late afternoon and drove straight up. Arrived to happy friendly staff, great beer and some the best food money can buy. The room was clean, comfortable and more than enough room for my partner, me and Cooper my husky. Highly recommend to everyone. Don't hesitate, just book it!

I have visited the Britannia inn many times and stated in the reviews below the views are magical. The service is friendly and the food is stunning. Whether it's a cold winters night sat by the fire or a summers evening sat outside watching the sunset, it's beautiful.

Andrew and the team take real pride in giving
excellent customer service!!

This is a must go to pub if your pit stopping on a fell walk or thinking of a place to go for lunch or dinner!

The pies served here are amazing the chefs homemade steak pie wow!!!

Loved the food...lots of choice, hearty, nothing flash but very well cooked, we were a party of 6 and ate there 2 nights, everything we had good. Breakfast also good. Lovely setting, quiet and lovely views and walking right from the door. Rooms ok, comfortable bed but double not larger so not so much room if you are used to something bigger. Shower hot and powerful but a bit of a squeeze. Clean, good welcome but could do with a little updating. Rustic place with lots of character.

Just been staying at langdale for two nights and ate at the Britannia both nights. The pub is so cozy and the staff so friendly it cannot be faulted. The food is very good too - the fish and chips are the best ever. We have visited the pub on many occasions and it is always the same - only it seems to get better. There is a good selection of beers and drinks generally
I can fully recommend it and if you are in the area it is well worth a visit

Needed to get away for a recharge.
The Britannia did not disappoint.
Superb food, great, friendly, helpful and efficient staff.
Even made a fuss of our dog Flynn.
Rooms are comfortable and clean and we enjoyed a good nights sleep.
Good selection of beers and wine.
A rely great base to walk out from and a lovely warm welcome back after a long days walking across the fells.
Thanks a bunch guys for a great time.
