We stayed at this hotel for 1 night as we wished to explore Paphos but also wanted a bit of quiet time. We booked directly with the reception after driving up to the hotel, the rate I though reasonable and the staff were very accommodating in preparing a room with a lovely view for us. The views and and pool are lovely and the rooms spacious and clean. Most of the hotel seemed shut, no signs of life down in the spa area. The room lacked basic amenities such as complimentary tea/coffee (although kettle provided) and no hair dryer. Breakfast was Basic and a little Random and in hindsight I would have preferred to use the kettle and toaster provided in the room! the highlight being the restaurant barman/ waiter passing the chef a beer at 08.30 in the morning! I would probably return to this hotel if passing through Paphos again but probably wouldn't choose it for a longer stay. I would class this more as a motel than luxury spa hotel and a car is a must for location.

We booked this hotel to go there for a night in August. The hotel was quiet and clean. The view was very good since the hotel is sitting on a rocky hill overseeing the city below.
There are 3 swimming pools, 2 outside and 1 inside. However, only the main outside swimming pool was actually used.
The food and breakfast was nothing impressive, and rather low quality for a 4star hotel and for the amount we paid to stay there.
The room was large and clean, and it had amenities such as oven, extractor fan, pots, plates and silverware. However, there was not even coffee or sugar. I guess that for a 4star hotel they should have something to drink in the room.
There is no double bed, just two single put next to each other.
Also, having stayed to many spa hotels, I didn't see an actual spa area, except if the internal pool and a room for massage and a jacuzzi are considered as a spa....

Having stayed in several hotels in Cyprus and abroad I found this hotel rather expensive, even for August, and nothing special.

We booked here because we knew it was very quiet. That's what we love about it. Two beautiful, clean pools. Large, well appointed, clean rooms. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Chris the Chef, in the hotel restaurant is most accommodating and can really cook! Though we were self catering we used the restaurant/bar several times.
Any facilities which are not open, e.g. the gym will be opened for you at a few minutes notice. You only have to ask.
The hotel is remote (which is great), a hire car is a MUST. Paphos harbour is only a ten minute drive away.
If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday this is THE place.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Pafiana travelling as a family with 3 children. On arrival we were shown to our room which was very spacious and clean and the kitchen was very modern including a washing machine which is very helpful especially with kids. The room was cleaned to a high standard the entire time during our stay with plenty of towel and linen changes. The pool areas again are kept clean to a very high standard it is just a great shame the hotel was so quiet even in July that on many occasions we would be the only people by the pool all day. We booked on a bed and breakfast basis and to be fair breakfast was hit and miss and after a few days we just opted for toast to keep things easy. There is a spa at the hotel but this was never open during our stay but I do think if you had asked a reception they would have tried to arrange something for you. For us personally the location of the hotel was probably its biggest downside as we had not hired a car as you really could not walk anywhere from the hotel as it is up a very steep hill which in the heat is really a no no and even if you did do it there are no shops that near by so you need to get a taxi everywhere which cost €10 to get to paphos harbour which for the distance I think is quite reasonable. From the people we did come across at the hotel we gather that as a rule the hotel is used for timeshare however we did book as a package deal. Overall I think this could be a great hotel but it just seems to have lost its way a little. We as a family love Cyprus and will defiantly return but not to the Pafinana due to the location and how quiet the hotel was.

My husband, 15 year old daughter, 10 year old son have just come back from Paphos where we stayed at The Pafiana Heights Resort through an exchange via Interval International. Even though we were warned of the cost of the mandatory half board before we travelled, I was not keen on the idea as we like to dine out of an evening and have breakfast in the apartment, so it cost approx. £650 for the 4 of us and we only used the facilities 4 times in total within our 1 week stay. The food was mediocre but we are quite fussy eaters. However the accommodation was spacious in a 2 bed apartment with 2 en-suite bathrooms and a kitchenette with full amenities and a dining table with 4 chairs. There was also a washing machine which is great so you don't return home with a load of washing! Air con in each room and TV in the living room and master bedroom with a DVD in the living room only. Take DVDs with you! You get free wifi in the reception area which is comfortable and very relaxing! The indoor pool and gym wasn't state of the art but will do. However they need to fix their 2 running machines as they were a bit dodgy to run on as the belts were both broken! My husband enjoyed the free weights though. Wasn't a great deal for kids to do here but my son spent most of his time (Along with other children) in the pool! It was so lovely and peaceful and not packed out like some resorts. This was ideal for us. It is out the way so you would need a car. That or be prepared to spend money on cabs. I personally enjoyed this week away, and would go back only if they dropped the mandatory half board option as that is not really what we want in a package, esp. when you have a kitchen in the apartment. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

Room Tip: Rooms over the pool are lovely!

We just stayed at hotel for 7 days through a time share exchange with Interval International. The hotel is a bit tired and there is not much going on but the positives are that the people are extremely friendly, the rooms are clean and spacious and I actually think that the restaurant is very good especially for the price. The waiters and waitresses are lovely and we really enjoyed the meal - the fish and chips are delicious. The spa was never open but I think that they would open it for you if you requested an appointment. Ultimately I would say that this is a 3.5 star hotel with some 4 star aspects. Overall though we really enjoyed our stay!

Stayed in may. Clean hotel, friendly staff. Good facilities. Pools were lovely. Food good. Only complaint is the distance from the main harbour in paphos. W decided to rent a car which meant one of us couldn't drink if we went out in the evening. And the double bed is actually two twins pushed together, so not very comfortable
