“A place to catch up with friends ..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2013

We purchased vouchers for this resort @ iloveshopping and I think it is worth it. We had a day tour and just paid for a locker to secure our valuables. Did not availed room accommodations as most of the time we were out to enjoy the facilities.

We arrived 9am, exact time for the first batch of trekkers to ambon ambon falls. We advanced order our lunch as they suggested, secure our things to a locker, leave our things on our rented ride then go trekking. Food is good, a bit pricey.

Mudslide is a must try. When we went there, onti lang kami so I slide 3 times and three days after our trip, my whole body is still aching but I'm still grinning for the memories that we have.

Overall, i think it is worth on what we paid for. And it is best if you go with your friends which are cowboys in type (always on-the-go).

We're from Davao. We got a discounted pass from metrodeal. We had our reservations w/ Amansinaya for May 4, 2013. They approved our RSVP. We rented a van at 6k, left Pasay at 7am and arrived there at about 9:30 am. The ride was quite long, esp. on a sunny day, it seems to be longer. But we were excited, so we didn't bother. During the orientation, the attendant was quite strict w/ the rules. We were asked to come to the registration site for head count. We were instructed not to bring in food, even food for the kids, and I mean toddlers. We were asked to order earlier so that when we're tired up, lunch will be served. That was a good idea.
We went to the team building area, we had a ride with their mini zip line. I say its mini because its even shorter and lower than the one in Eden (Davao). We then went to the wall climbing area, It's nice but the heat of the sun was getting thru the rocks on the walls. No special shoes were provided for the climb nor gloves. So we climbed w/ our bare hands and feet. We didn't finish the climb due to the intense heat on the rocks. We then moved to the mud slide. It was the best amenity the place could offer. We then went back to the patio for lunch at 11:50 AM. Surprisingly, our food was not yet ready.

In an adventure park, the owner must know the importance of food especially when they are strict with the "NO BAON policy". So we waited for 1 and a half hour. Imagine the children's frustration. Good thing they still have milk in their bottles. The rice came, then followed the grilled foods. At last!.. Unfortunately, the food didn't taste good, the chicken was raw, the fish was "bilasa". Our group was complaining so as the other groups from other tables. But we still looked forward for the last viand, the kare-kare... Our only hope (esp. the kids-sabaw). It was nearly 3 pm and our kare-kare hasn't been delivered yet. So we gave up our hopes, paid 2,200 for the 2 "nigos" of grilled food, soft drinks, and rice. We then went to the pool (the kids' consuelo) and drove back to Pasay at 5 pm. The pool was nice, though. But, the question is, is the trip worth it? NO, definitely not.
If you are from Mindanao, don't dare go to this place, we have better places back home that's worth our time, money and effort. No offense to the owner, but you have got to make things better out there, a lot of comments are coming...

Room Tip: If you're an adult who have no choice but to be there with a group, choose to stay on the mud sl...

The accommodations made are 5 in a room in a very big villa which has about 8 rooms in a villa thus for one villa you will be able to house about 40 participants. Every spacious room is air-conditioned with cable tv, comfort rooms with basic toiletries and the villa has spacious sala that connects to a small pool located at the back of the villa. A big pool is also located just at the front of the villa. Facilities for team building is a bit far from the villa but a vehicle is provided to transport the participants. The facilities are mudslide, zipline, obstacle course, etc. are available. An assigned person by the resort that can facilitate your needs is also provided.

My college friends and I went here last summer 2012. This was a long planned trip. One of my friends saw a discounted voucher of this resort in Ensogo and we purchased it.

The Travel
> The travel time was quite long. If I remember it correctly, we rode a bus from Taft, then a tricycle, then a jeepney. Try not to look like a tourist because you may encounter people who would like to charge you with higher fares.

The Place
> Amansinaya is a beauty. It's a large place that has a lot to offer. It has an infinity pool overlooking the ambon-ambon falls and another huge pool. It offers wall climbing, mudslide, zipline, and other team building facilities/equipment.
> Since it is a large place, they have in-house transportation. It's free of charge. You just have to tell a person with a radio.
> The pools are for kids and adults. They have diagonally-leveled floors.

The Rooms
> Since we availed of a voucher, we were given the Nipa Hut-type rooms that were included in the deal. If you really mind safety, you might not be comfortable sleeping in these huts, tolda and kulambo serve as the hut's walls. Still, it's good because it's clean and well kept. It has no private restrooms.
> If it's all right for you to spend much, you can avail of their villas which are spacious and pleasing to the eyes.

The Food
> The food was all right. Enough to satisfy our tummies but it was a bit pricey.

The Service
> If I was a bit disappointed with the food, the personnel made up for it. They were very accommodating and polite. They would try their best to deliver, and they did.

The Perks
> The zipline, mudslide, wall climbing, swimming, inhouse transportation, and trekking were all free. In the trekking part, we had a tour guide that accompanied us to Ambon-Ambon falls then back to the resort.

The Price
> Since we used vouchers, we can say we got more than enough. Super pleased! :D

We had our mini-teambuilding here and we enjoyed a lot. There were "huts" provided so it's not really the comfortable type of sleeping if you are looking for it. It's meant to be an adventure/camping type. There's a much comfortable room uphill though but that would defeat the purpose of the adventure. :)

This is a very nice place to conduct outdoor activities, most prolly second to Caliraya. The food is okay it's give you enough nourishment and energy for a day's activity.

Room Tip: Take note though that is is really very very very far and hard to reach. So better get those map/gps...

when i learned about group coupons, it has been a habit of me to look for their site everyday and i saw this resort for days in their postings.

when i researched for it, it looks goods and i recommended it to my friends when we planned to have our little get-together. they agreed so i bought it.

i had it searched on google maps and the place looks accessible. we had a little difficulty reaching it because the place is far from its true location. there were other passenger on the jeepney going to the resort so, we just rented out the jeepney up to the place. we also contracted the driver for our way back on the afternoon.

day trip includes hiking, zipline, wall climbing, mud slide and swimming. we were lucky to catch their morning hike schedule. the hike took about 3-4 hours. it was fulfilling upon reaching the place only they should have maintain it more. there are litters on the sides on the shore.

back at the hotel, we had our lunch pre-ordered as advised by the tour guide. we had chicken, kare-kare, and porkchop. the food were all delicious but my favorite is kare-kare.

they have kubo set -up outside the dining area. we had our rest there after our lunch. there is also a pool just outside the dining area.

we were not told that there are schedules for going to the adventure area we just knew it after asking the guard around. he called up someone and had pick us up from the reception to the adventure area. i was disappointed with the zipline. the ride was slow and felt like it took hours! but i enjoyed the mud slide. we even had our second time since there were no other guest aside from us. we also wall-climb before experiencing mud slide. there is also obstacle course on the area.

we went back to the reception area and had our dip in the pool until 5 in the afternoon. you should also should not miss taking pictures there.

it was a nice experience though...

Had our department day summer outing here last April. Yes the place was nice alright but I don't think it's worth the long trip. Good thing we got a good deal from ensogo otherwise it will just be a total waste of money.

First, the place is really far and it's not easily accessible thru public transpo, so if you are planning to visit the place commuting , forget it. cause you will be spending a lot in transpo fare alone . Good thing we came in a mini bus.

You are not allowed to bring in food, nor eat in the parking area even if it's inside your car and since we don;t want to eat in their restaurant , we were asked to drive back somewhere near the main gate so we can have our lunch inside the bus.

They have a schedule time for each activity... zipline, wall climbing, mud slide and trekking. Trekking to Ambon falls was a total disappointment. It's far from the nature trip I imagined.. you will pass through several houses and lots of town folks , uneven terrains, small streams of water and rocks and litters of plastic cups and bags.

The swimming pool was nothing fancy either. I wish we went somewhere else instead *sigh*
