“Closest contact with animals”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

I went in July and it's winter in NZ, it's a bit cold and rainy some days. The tour was at outdoor so summer time might be better. During the tour, the guide told us about the habit of different kinds of animals. We got to feed the Al paca and sheeps (if they don't run away from you), hand-pick kiwifruit, taste the kiwifruit wine and juice, also the manuka honey. It's an amazing experience.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your time at the Agrodome and Thank you very much for taking the time to post a positive review.
It is winter in New Zealand at the moment so you are right, it can be a little cold during the farm tour. Our farm show is all inside and undercover while the farm tour tractors do have drop down sides which can help to keep you warm while you explore the farm.
Thank you again for your visit and review!

“Great”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

Loved the show and the petting area. Kids particularly enjoyed being able to go in with the lambs. Very entertaining way to spend a rainy morning in Rotorua.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience here at the Agrodome - you are right! We are a fantastic rainy day option and with the petting zoo, the show and the farm tour you can stay dry and under-cover while still getting up close and personal with our lovely animals.
We hope to see you at the Agrodome again soon!

“Day trip to Rotorua including a chance to meet some locals”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

As part of an organised shore excursion from a ship berthed in Auckland we went to Rotorua for the day and a visit to the Agrodome was included. We arrived in time for the sheep show and we're not disappointed - the host was excellent and all the different sheep were fabulous - they were definitely the stars of the show especially the Merino. Even better when you get chance to get up close and personal with them after the show. Not forgetting the sheep dogs. Highly recommended.

Happy to hear that we come "highly recommended" and that you enjoyed the show and the 'up-close' opportunities that it offers our guests.
The farm dogs are definately my favorite as well - they just LOVE their job and it shows!

“A good farm show”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

Overall a good farm show for tourists. We've seen some other similar shows years ago and this one has the more enjoyable host. Although we were expecting more on the dogs part, the ducks were quite funny too. I thing it would be must more memorable if more audiences can have a go at feeding the sheep and milking the cow.

Thanks for the review Sasha.
We are very happy to hear you thought our farm show hosts were enjoyable!
You do have to be in quick to participate in the show but it is great that all guests have the opportunity after the show to hop on stage and get up close and personal with our sheep and the lovely working dogs.
We hope to see you back here at the Agrodome soon!

“Never work with animals unless their your best friends!”
Reviewed 11 July 2014 via mobile

Wow what a great show with real life animals you never know what next they'll bring out on stage or what they will do! But they are all great seasoned performers and take it in their stride dealing with the main host of the show who is funny and knowledgeable can tell he has a soft spot for every animal as well as the touch for them very easy in his presence. personally i got to tick one off the bucket list and milk a cow! Was just the best live show I've been to as an adult very interactive well worth the money! Wish it could have gone longer due to how much fun we were all having!!!

It is fantastic to hear how much fun you had at our show and well done on milking a cow - it is not always as easy as it looks!
Our show hosts do have a soft spot for the animals they work with and we are pleased that it comes through to the audience during the shows. When you work with animals every day it is hard not to get attached to them!
Thank you for taking the time to review your experience and we hope to see you at the Agrodome again soon.
