No matter how much you think you know you can always learn more as this terrific museum shows.
Can you believe that a Jewish homeland was proposed for the East Kimberley region in WA for jews to emigrate from Europe. It was supported by the WA Govt and the trade union movement but not by the Federal Govt in 1944.
Essential for everyone to pay a visit.

This is a must visit for anyone interested in the Holocaust, it is very educational. The staff are very friendly and happy to answer questions.
It's very sad, I came away feeling quite moved by this horrible act.
The displays are excellent and well presented.

Visited the Holocaust centre yesterday. It was both interesting and devastating to see and read about this time in history. Whilst we were asked if we need any help or information once we were in the actual museum it was difficult to know were to go when you enter the foyer. Better signage to direct us into the actually museum would be a good idea. We headed upstairs first but that was the theatre and a book launch was taking place. No one was at the front desk downstairs to direct us.
I would return to the centre again there is so much to read.
Thank you for making the centre available to everyone.

An educational museum set up by holocaust survivors and their relatives. It was a reminder of the human tragedy experienced and was supported with amazing photographic and document evidence as well as interactive displays. We were lucky enough to be present when a 93 year old survivor told his personal story. It was a moving account of starvation and excruciating hardship entwined with a serious determination to survive. An amazing centre tucked away in Elsternwick. Entry fee.. by donation

My daughter asked if I could take her to the Jewish holocaust centre as she was doing a project for school. I had to re confirm the address because I never knew such a centre was in Elsternwick.
After visiting concentration camps whilst in Germany a number of years ago it really brought home everything we had seen again and with such courageous story's of survival, can only have you leave with a true appreciation of the torture these poor people had to encounter.
There is a lot of history spelt out here and is an absolute must to see.
