“Most relaxing and beautiful location....”
Reviewed 28 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

This was our first visit to Scotland, and what a place to pick. June and Jeoff were very welcoming and the property was amazing!!
Exceptionally clean and offered everything and more. Just a short walk behind the property was some breathe taking views across the loch and mountains.
Thankyou very much for having us and your hospitality.
We loved it!!!!!

“Great place to visit Scotland the first time”
Reviewed 18 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

The house offers everything we needed and more. We did not expect
.... a romantic chimney which was already prepared to be set to fire
.... milk, butter, rolls, coffee for a first meal
.... the nice view out of our windows to the Gareloch, the beautiful hills and mountains

Even right from the house there are a lot of wonderful trails to walk.
Bus stop to Helensburgh in front of the house!
However, we would recommend to have a car handy, since you need to bypass the lochs and hills in order to get to other nice places around.

Geoff and June (the owners) are absolutely lovely and friendly people. They answered our e-mails immediately and supported our arrival with lots of advices.
We really enjoyed our stay!!!

After staying in An Caladh for 8 days all we can say is - "what a pleasure it was to have found this little oasis of peace and tranquillity - the weather unfortunately was unremitting, but, thankfully, because An Caladh had every facility imaginable, then it was just a pleasure
to close the door and leave the world outside. As others have stated, June and Geoff are
extremely nice people and nothing appeared to be a problem for them. Hopefully, we will be returning in the coming year and are in the process of saving frantically to fulfil our wish.

“Tranquil, relaxing peaceful week away”
Reviewed 1 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

The title says it all really, my wife and I decided to spend our honeymoon in Scotland and An Caladh was one of the places we stayed. The owners June and Geoff are lovely, helpful accommodating and interesting people and it was a pleasure to arrive there. When June realized we were newlywed she came with a bottle of bubbly for us..

The area has some really nice walks, we only did one but climbing up to the top of the hill behind the accommodation had some brilliant views of Gare Loch. We only ate out once but I reckon we picked the best place, 'La Barca' in helensburgh, it's a tapas place and absolutely spot on, definitely the best tapas i've had. I wish we had one that good in Manchester.

Get the wood burner going in the cottage at night and you will be so cosy and warm. The cottage is really clean and has everything you need. I really hope to return. Thanks June and Geoff.

“Four Star Bungalow”
Reviewed 31 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

My wife and I have just arrived home after spending a wonderful week in An Caladh in the village of Clynder on the banks of Gare Loch. We were greeted by June and Geoff and shown around before unloading the car. The bungalow is open plan and very comfortable, plus it is very warm (even in the bathroom where there is under floor heating, the log burner really warms the lounge up. Everything about the bungalow is quality and is well maintained and looked after. The views from the windows are to die for. The area around Clynder is very scenic and the shipping could be fascinating to watch!
All in all, thank you June and Geoff for a wonderful week.

“Just Outstanding”
Reviewed 26 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

My Wife and I spent a wonderful week in An Cladagh and I think that 4* underrates the Cottage. The Views from the Cottage of the Lake were lovely the best view being from the Bedroom it was just lovely to wake up in the morning make a cup of tea then open the curtains and just look out the window at the Loch. on arrival June and Geoff had two lovely soft bread buns, Butter, milk, Tea and Coffee. In the press/cupboard there was Salt,Pepper, Olive Oil, Vinegar and sweetners. The Bathroom had Towels, Shampoo , Soap etc. A really well equipped kitchen. Sitting come dining room. Car parking and Pedestrian entrance. The bus stops almost outside the door (316) Takes you to Helensburgh also down through Kilcreggan, Cove Culport for only a few shillings allowing yo to have a few drinks in the Creggans or lunch/Dinner in the Knockderry House Hotel a must to visit You have a lovely Cafe in Kilcreggan with a Bank, Chemist and a Craft Butcher where you can buy award winning pies. All in all a beautiful area for a really relaxed holiday 40 minutes from the Bonnie Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond with a stunning drive over the tops sweeping down to the Loch. The thing that really makes this holiday is An Cladagh as your base. My Wife and I would really recommend a holiday here. Robert Smith
