Stayed at Rosneath Castle Park for 3-nights. On arrival it took us some time to find our caravan, there didn’t seem to be any signage which wasn’t helpful. The caravan was clean and tidy however there were three dead wasps in the living area, unsure how these weren’t spotted on cleaning. Nice kitchen area with full size cooker, microwave and large fridge freezer, plenty cooking utensils also. Will have to remember to bring surface cleaner or wipes in future as there was nothing to wipe down surfaces. Also extra toilet roll. Nice, warm and cozy. Good powerful shower. A coffee table would be beneficial in the lounge as there is nothing to sit your drinks on while sitting on the sofa. We stayed in the Loch View caravan and were pleased with our view. Our only disappointment was that we didn’t have a decking/balcony area like many of the caravans around us. Also no WiFi which was very frustrating. The site itself is quiet however that is what we were looking for. The bar/restaurant on the site is very dark, dated and quite depressing looking. Had a meal one night which was okay however didn’t care to spend anymore time than needed in there. They also do takeout. We ordered an Indian meal one night from one of the local takeouts and they were okay with delivering to the site. Not much entertainment on if that’s what you look for. Small shop on site for essentials and there is a co’op a short drive away. Overall it was a lovely break away and would definitely return if looking for a quiet chilled break.

Arrived early as girls were finishing cleaning caravan- they kindly allowed us in when finished and were so welcoming and friendly! Caravan superb- clean , spacious and far better than expected. ( despite being dog friendly, there were no signs of previous dogs, carpets etc were surprisingly stain free)
Best of all were the absolutely STUNNING views of the loch.
The whole site was beautiful, probably the best we’ve experienced, clean, well spaced, plenty of amenities and perfect for dogs.
Welcomed by a member of staff on the first evening to check everything was ok for us. ( This was a really unexpected touch, and what a lovely friendly girl).
We booked frid- Monday for a much needed peaceful rest after a traumatic time but unfortunately it didn’t quite work out that way!

We were in caravan Lochview E102 which initially appeared in the perfect position- however it was situated next to the site Laundry ( separated by a high hedge).
The first morning we were abruptly woken by the sound of the laundry being opened up at the back of 7 in the morning!( I can only presume this was staff members as it sounded like cleaning/storage rooms being ‘ransacked’!)
Loud voices followed by the banging of laundry doors, the 2 large windows were thrown open to the sound of the laundry tv being switched on which continued to ‘blare’ out music etc the full day!
The whole day is a continual traffic of people attending the laundry, dropping off and collecting with the constant traffic of cars arriving in the laundry carpark! Believe me , it’s constant along with the constant racket of door banging, tv blaring, voices, and what appears to be a general area for ‘fish wives’ to meet! This continued for our full stay.

SO! If it’s peace and quiet your’e after DO NOT book Caravan E102!!

Despite the site stating no noise after 10pm, we also found that this was not enforced!
Certain caravans continued to party/ play loud music into early hours with no regards for others, then you had the regular traffic of drunken late nighters passing by ( mainly women,I have to say)
This was so unfortunate, as we were so impressed with site, the views, the location.
Do not think we will be returning unless I’m 100% sure of the precise location of the caravan!
I certainly would not describe our experience as ‘peaceful’ as the literature etc would have you believe!

Stayed in hire caravan no 3 Lochview pet friendly , plus points are many , van was spacious and clean with beautiful Loch views , me all amenities which we found to be of a high standard ! Food in the bistro was really love and so reasonably priced ! We ate ther on several occasions , staff that we met were lovely and couldn’t do enough to ensure a great stay ! Only negative is the caravan itself , very worn , stained sofas , carpet in lounge area very dirty and stained. , faulty fridge freezer no working lights in kitchen area and lastly no blind in kitchen either ! I have been staying at this Cara van park for over 25 years and have never stayed in a caravan that wasn’t exceptional in every way ! I did leave feedback on the sites form but as yet no response hence this review . Hope to stay in spring 2022 so plo rectify these issues to ensure happy holidays ! Kind regards .

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your stay with us. We are sorry that the caravan you stayed in wasn't our usual high standard that we provide, however we have updated many of our hire fleet recently so you may find the next time you book a stay with us, it will be in a brand new van. We hope you will be able to visit us again in the near future

This is our second visit to rosneath and to be honest there is not much to add from my last stay here. It is a lovely park to stay. The staff are very polite and helpful. My kids love the play area and the open spaces. The access to the loch side is easy with beautiful views. The bar area was very clean and a good menu. We had beautiful weather so took advantage of the seating outside the bar. The caravan was well equipped and clean .We really enjoyed it again thank you

This is the cleanest friendliest park we have been to for a holiday. We have already booked for next year and intend to buy the year after.
The onsite pub is so good, the cleanliness is second to none, the toilets are spotless and the food is both excellent and affordable.

Room tip: Plenty of parking. Avoid the Naval base with your drone. It may quite rightly be shot down.

Check in experience was great. Communication from reception was spot on. We found the staff really friendly and the food at the Castle Isle was excellent. The best fish and chips we have had in a long time. Very reasonably priced also. The caravan was overlooking the Loch and was spacious and spotlessly clean. The park has excellent facilities. The holiday exceeded our expectations. We would thoroughly recommend Rosneath Castle Park.
