Have stayed here in 2013 and 2012 and must say I am always impressed by the service and security of the place. I got a bit wasted one day and left my bag somewhere, the security for Manny's found it and checked it was all there and could list me the contents. Nothing missing at all, now that's respect and honesty. The huts have comfortable beds and the Big Bamboo bar has plenty of drinks and food to keep you close to your hut. The guys who work there are always attentive and easy to make friends with as they provide excellent customer service. We had 4 huts for our group and the costs was agreed at the outset. If you pay for 1 night and then want to stay longer the price can vary... its all part of the indian experience. Cant wait to go back in 2014.

Room Tip: Check out the location of the huts, you do not want the hut next to the Kitchen as there can be issu...

My friend and I rented a hut each at Manfredi's and were initially impressed with the set up and location. Set back from the beach, but close enough to Big Bamboo Beach Bar, it was a matter of peace and tranquility mixed with location. Being about half way down the beach it was great for accessing any part of the beach, be it dinner and drinks up at Cozy Nook or similar delights at the other end. The noise of the bars at night were also not an issue because the huts aren't beachfront. Also, the huts are fenced and arranged nicely around what resembles a courtyard.

The only issues were at night when fun times in the bars had finished and we were craving our downtime. It was very difficult to sleep through the noise created by the neighbourhood dogs and the roosters (which started well before dawn).

When we arrived we negotiated a price for the 10 nights that we were staying (1500 during peak time) so we thought that this was pretty good. As we only had a limited amount of rupees and had to change over some pounds we paid for 5 nights and agreed that we would pay the following 5 nights when they were about to come around. This all seemed to be agreed but when it came to paying the final 5 nights they told us we would have to pay 2000 per night instead. We have stayed at other huts like Fernandes who have allowed us to pay in increments. My advice, if you are happy to stay here for your full stay, would be to pay in full at the agreed price after the first night, then you shouldn't have any problems.

The one thing this place is missing is the warm, friendly feel that comes from the staff that you find with some places in Palolem. My top recommendation for this would be Fernandes. If you want more of a community feel in terms of your fellow travellers, then I would recommend Cozy Nook.

Stayed here in March for 10 nights, just couldn't bring ourselves to leave.

Stayed in one of the beachside huts by the restaurant. Huge hut, amazing double bed and pillows with a real western mattress and lovely little rugs on the floor.

For 700 rupees a night on probably the best beach on mainland India, what more could you ask for?

Room Tip: Beachside ones are cooler due to sea breeze.

Loved these little huts. great location, porch on each one, mosquito nets, towels. would highly recommend for travellers. Palolem is beautiful but pretty quiet. If you wanna socialise and meet new people, its easier to do this in north goa but palolem beach is gorgeous and worth a visit. all the locals are really friendly and the trip out to see the dolphins is well worth it. saw absolutely loads of them

We moved from ciarans to Freddie's for two nights the end of our say in palolem.
We rented the hut right on the beach front for 1,500 rupees per night and alogh the hut was very basic, the view and the position was mind blowing! Having your own beach from porch was amazing...being able to get a Couple of beers from the bar next door and watch the world go by and the sun set from your own room couldn't be beaten.
In terms of the room you don't get towels, toiletries, toilet paper and had to ask for a sheet but if you're prepared it's fine. There's no real service but tbh if all you need is a clean, comfy bed for the night RIGHT on the beach you could get a better spot. Oh and bring ear plus you're that close to the sea it can get noisy!

Room Tip: If you can afford it and it's available get the beach front hut, it's fantastic!

We had a look at these huts on our first visit to palolem in December but they were full so we stayed elsewhere, this time we prebook and spent 2 weeks here. The pillows are without doubt the best I've seen in Goa. The showers are cold(ish) but big and roomy.
There are two sections to this resort, the huts behind and to the side of the restaurant (big bamboo) and then the ones in the compound a little further back. We were in the compound which has security 24 hours. The beds are massive and have framed nets on them, which saves my husband getting all tangled up in them, there is quite a community spirit in this little place and really feels like home. If you want fresh linen you just need to ask.

Manfredis bamboo huts were situated in the second row, just behind the restaurants and first row beach bungalows with sea view. The staff were friendly but didn´t talk that much. Simple hut with thin walls, as most of the other places as well. No hot water, but mosquito net over the bed and they provided with towels and a guarded room with safety lockers. Bring your own pad lock!

The restaurant BIg Bamboo served tasty Indian food, but also chinese and continental and of course fresh seafood every night on display. The breakfast was okay, hot toasts, omelets, American or English breakfat, yoghurt with musli and so on. All of the beach restaurants have the same concept, but the prices can vary. Big Bamboo were in the middle.
