“Lovely flexible accommodation for friends and dog”
Reviewed 2 weeks ago for a stay in July 2018

We echo previous comments about the equipment and rain shower bathroom. The outside area is useful with nice views over countryside. For eating, there is the local chippy open early evenings and The Lamb is a 30 second stumble up the road. The food and drink is excellent and good value but dogs can't go inside on inclement days. The Bay Horse 10 minutes away does allow dogs but has stopped serving food and only open after 3.30. Otherwise, a mile out of town is the Waggon and Horses which allows dogs and the food is good too. We would recommend this place as a great base to tour the area and its walks, railway and Haworth. Even Harrogate is within an hour and Saltaire 20 minutes. TV is excellent and there is one in each room too. Owner John is really helpful and we are easily recommending to our friends. Parking is normally possible outside up against the wall but the road next to The Lamb is quieter and only 150 yards away if you prefer.

“Well equipped and in a great location”
Reviewed 4 weeks ago for a stay in July 2018

We had a great long weekend here with our dog and couldn’t fault the cottage. It has a very well equipped kitchen and bathroom, small outside area for your dog to go and everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Very comfy beds too!

It’s a short walk to Oxenhope train station. We got a steam train into Haworth where we had a great day.

It is located near to a lovely pub. We had a beautiful Sunday roast there. There are lots of walks on your doorstep and the views are amazing.

Would definitely stay again!

Great stay and bigger cottage than we thought. Lovely walks and scenery. Garden was relaxing and the dog enjoyed swimming in river near train station.

“What a gem in a beautiful setting.”
Reviewed 21 May 2018 for a stay in May 2018

Wonderful, fully equipped, bright, clean cottage. Kitchen that had everything you could wish for as well as looking so quaint. We really loved it, from the big settee in front of the log fire to the spacious bedrooms but especially the garden. Tadpoles in the little pond, the birds singing as we had breakfast al fresco. Short walk from shops and almost on the steps of a country pub who do lovely food. (best booking). The views across the fields, the deer, the lovely walks. Bliss. Haworth almost on the doorstep. Will definitely be having a return visit.

“Wonderful stay”
Reviewed 12 May 2018 for a stay in May 2018

We really enjoyed our short stay in this lovely characterful cottage, and it lived up to all the excellent reviews that other travellers had given. It was cosy, clean and well equipped and made a great base for exploring West Yorkshire. The owner, John, was welcoming and helpful when we needed to contact him, and we would have no hesitation in recommending this delightful cottage.

Just one thing I would point out about the amenities listed - there is no full bath but a brilliant shower, which for me is a plus point but other people might like to know that.

“Comfortable cottage in beautiful location.”
Reviewed 8 May 2018 for a stay in May 2018

We loved our short stay in Rock Cottage. The perfect location and an ideal base to explore this beautiful part of the country, close to pretty Haworth and lovely Hebden Bridge. The cottage is extremely comfortable, clean and warm and very well equipped. The views are lovely and the small terrace is an ideal place to sit and relax. With a pub virtually on the doorstep and walks close by it really does have everything you need. I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.

“Lovely”
Reviewed 25 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

Had a few days away with the dog. Lovely little cottage. Had everything we needed. I’ve never enjoyed cooking so much as I did in the fantastic kitchen! A little walk down the hill to Oxenhope station and you can catch the steam train to howarth and surrounding towns. There’s a local shop if you run short of anything and the pub a minute away) Would recommend this place to anyone who fancies a beautiful view and lots of walking!
