My mum and I stayed at Dale Farm House for a weekend at the beginning of November. It is an ideal place for peace and tranquillity but handy for visiting Southampton (which we did to take my student-son out for dinner and to go shopping) and Beaulieu etc. Everything felt welcoming and comfortable from the moment we stepped through the door. Chris and Peter were helpful and friendly without being at all intrusive, our room was perfect and breakfast was so good we didn't need to have lunch! I thoroughly recommend Dale Farm House to anyone and I will be booking again soon, for myself and my husband.

We had a really lovely two-night stay at Dale Farm House. It was just what we needed and Chris and Peter did everything to make us feel welcome and at home. The breakfast was delicious and set us up well for the day! They seemed to have thought of almost everything starting with the excellent instructions to finding their beautiful country house. The only negative aspect is that our room was small. For two nights it was fine but for longer, the lack of a wardrobe would have been a nuisance. But for our short stay it was just fine and we definitely want to return for another break next year.

Room Tip: Ask if there are rooms with a wardrobe

Thank you very much for your lovely review and so sorry you found there was no wardrobe in your room - 3 rooms have wardrobes & 3 rooms have dressing units with rails - hoping you will visit again and if you have any requests please ask & we will always do what we can to give you what you want. Room size is a very subjective feeling and as we live in a 200 year New Forest farmhouse in the National Park, I am afraid we are governed by what we have got !!!! Spacious rooms are lovely and often common in modern hotels around here.

Just enjoyed a lovely weekend at Dale Farm House. Beautiful location, nestled within unspoilt farm and woodland. Close enough to the road to be able to find it (great signage) yet far enough away to be wonderfully quiet and peaceful, Friendly welcome, comfortable bed and pillows, elegant yet homely décor. The breakfast was lovely, just what you need to set you up for a day out. Little extra touches - fridge and microwave in guest dining room for communal use; complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and fresh fruit; option of packed lunch if you want it; use of gas BBQ in the ample and beautiful garden (didn't choose to partake of that at the end of October!). Pete and Chris are outgoing, genuine and helpful hosts. Many thanks for a great weekend - we'll definitely be back. Karen and Simon, Cheltenham

We stayed here as a family for our daughters wedding.
The house was situated in rural woodland, the cottage garden is well maintained and stocked with ample flowers and colourful borders lovely lawns and ample bird feeders. At the bottom of the garden was a decked sitting area and BBQ for guests use.
The picturesque house was well maintained, the guests area was bright clean and warm, with little extras supplied by the hosts of water and fruit.
Each bedroom was simply decorated but all accessories were colour co-ordonated. The bedding was clean and warm. Each room had its own tv with tea making facilities. The en-suites were up to date clean and warm and very homely.
The choice of breakfast was a culinary delight well cooked and plenty of choice. The food was sourced locally.
The hosts couldn't have been more accommodating friendly and helpful supplying good local information. Although the hosts were not at the accomodation when we arrived information with room occupancy was clearly marked out.
Would definitely recommend a return visit.

Room Tip: accomodation to be put on the list of must go again!

Thank you for your very kind review and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay - for your part it was great that you bought the stain on the headboard to our attention and we could do something before it was too late ........ it is so much easier for everyone if mishaps are dealt with early and I am a dab hand at cleaning !!! You certainly had some good weather while you were here so perhaps you could take a winter break when our 123 Breakaway special is on to the end of March 14 we would love to meet you again. Chris

I am so excited and mesmerized by Dale Farm House that I cant wait any longer, I have to write the review NOW!

In my opinion this place is fantastic! The people here are friendly, helpful, makes you feel welcome and wanting to come back for more and more! Which is in fact exactly what I intend on doing the next chance I get.

It really is picture perfect!! Located in a forrest like surrounding, you will not hear any form of highway traffic or city noise. The rooms are beautiful, flat screen TV's, enough space for you to hang you clothes and unpack for your stay. Modern with a touch of class! I have a wash basin in my room which helps quite a lot. My room was not ensuite but that does not matter, bathroom was two feet away from the door. The owners were so kind to accomodate me as their were no other space available, just shows you the extra mile that they are willing to go for a complete stranger, to welcome him into their home and make him feel so welcome!!

Their is a beautiful garden, swimming pool and walk way that leads to a view of wide big open field. In the morning you can see the mist rolling over the hill. Absolutely stunning! Green grass along the path way, so perfect that you almost don't want to walk on it.

Breakfast in the mornings are great, eggs the way you want them, selection of cereals, fruit salad, coffee and tea. All freshly prepared.

I can go on and on about Dale Farm House, but I won't, all I can say is that this place is wonderful, the people are wonderful and it is all well worth the visit. It is NOT over-promissed, NOT over-priced and their are NO over inflated opinions!

Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

Thank you for you wonderful review and restoring our confidence - the weather is much colder here than when you stayed and we would rather be in the sunny climes of South Africa !!! All the best to you and hoping you can visit us on a future visit. Chris & Pete

A beautiful Farmhouse in a very peaceful area full of wildlife and still convenient for the local shops. Efficient booking process via telephone and made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Room with en suite bathroom was immaculate with a nice view of the well-maintained gardens. The dining/breakfast area is very pleasant with a "help yourself" concept and delicious food. Excellent value for money on B&B basis which includes Wi-Fi access. Highly recommended - thank you Chris & Pete.
