I stayed here with my husband and baby in September 2012. Even though it was a year ago I wanted to thank the staff for such a pleasant stay and we had a wonderful time here.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. The accommodation was spacious, clean and tidy with fabulous views of the solent. We hired a travel cot which was ready for us on arrival. We booked one of the flats for a few days which was very reasonably priced and included the ferry fare - bargain!

The site is located a few minutes walk from Cowes with plenty of shops and things to do. There are many things to do on the island, we wish we booked a longer stay to fit everything in!

I love the Isle of Wight and really enjoyed my stay here, it was perfect and will definitely stay here again in the future without a doubt.

So over the summer I went to Waverley park twice and both times were lovely! Both times I camped in the field at the end of the park. The first time I went with my boyfriend and the second with a big group of girls. I was surprised how layed back and lovely the owners were about having a big group of young girls staying, so thank you! The showers were great and there were two blocks of toilets although there was a small hill to climb to get from the tent. Lovely little swimming pool. If you're camping bring flip-flops for the pool as there is a gravel road you have to walk down to get to it! There is a very nice pub which we ordered nice food in - a cheesy pub quiz was on too!

Nearby there isn't that much to do although you can get the chain ferry free by foot passenger across to the other side of cowes where there is some shops. It was handy having Waitrose a 3 min walk away! and of course right next to the ferry. There is also a fun kids playground and tennis court right next to the site. Oh and a lovely little cafe that did gorgeous bacon baguettes for breakfast (although we did get attacked by bees)

Only bad points I would point out is the camping field is on quite a steep hill and the seaweed smell in the morning is horrible! there is a small amount of flat ground but the first time I came this was unavailable. so my first stay i spent sliding down the hill in my sleeping bag.

Room Tip: Don't pitch on the hill!

HI, we came as a family of 4 with our large touring caravan on arrival we got told the pitch number 15 we drove round to find a little tight getting on however before we know the owner peter and the maintance guy also pete came to our rescue with a little tractor so in no time job done, get set up to find frige not working, a leak from the water tap on the pitch but again in no time pete had fixed it and given me the number of a electrican who sadley was unable to help me with it being a german made caravan.
Was worried when we first went to the club as needed food but was told not sure if we are doing anay as no chef had arrived but again no reason to panic as it was all sorted and before long we were all end.
We found this park very very family welcome and before long we all had made friends inc our children which waqs good and from then all we started having trips out bbq with all our new found friends and to top it off we have now booked along with 3 other familys ready for next year on to pitch 22 which with advice from pete and peter should be a better pitch for my out fit.
All in all a great holiday and worth every penny and cant wait to return next year

regards and all the best and see you again soon

Good site. Basic caravan a bit cramped for 3, but all in all very happy.
Good location from the ferry, excellent VFM with ferry included in a sept deal.
Food freshly served, good size pool & just enough for kids to do.
The weather helped, but had a great time.
Shame about the sewage smell, but not much the owners can do about that.
Would come again!

2nd Visit to Waverley Park and already booked for next year. The park is clean and statics excellent value for money. The food on site is delicious and well worth the money. The pool was clean although younger children cant touch the floor so armbands advised but having said that there is a smaller pool for younger children. Overall a fantastic base to tour the island. Our only suggestion would be maybe some 2p machines in the games room for smaller children. I would disagree with earlier suggestions of nothing to do in walking distance as Osbourne house is in walking distance and a larger park just outside of the bottom gates with include a shallow pool/lido.
