“Just lovely!”
Reviewed 6 July 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Very convenient but quiet location with lovely sea views and close to the shore.Garden with both deckchairs and picnic table. parking off road for two cars
Newly renovated and decorated with a gentle seaside theme and comprehensive kitchen equipment. Stairs would be steep only if very limited mobility. Owner was there to greet us and answer any questions, give suggestions for eating and amenities on island etc
Delightful cottage and would certainly stay again..

“Superb holiday cottage”
Reviewed 27 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We stayed at the cottage for a long weekend and we loved it! The property is furnished beautifully, is well provisioned, and the owners are very friendly and helpful.

The cottage offers superb views of the harbour front, and has a spacious garden in which to enjoy the sunshine. It is well situated just around the corner from the ferry dock and a large Waitrose, and is within easy distance of Osborne House, along with some great local pubs and restaurants.

We would highly recommend Coastguard cottage to anyone looking for a short or longer break on the island.

“Fantastic holiday cottage.”
Reviewed 21 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We have just returned home after a wonderful week at this cottage. Great location, short walk to playground / swimming pool / chain ferry. Close to many attractions for all the family, including many resturants. Cottage is very comfortable and clean. Owners are very helful, and lots of essentials are left in the house (washing up liquid, tea, coffee etc). Large, enclosed garden, and off road parking for 2 cars. Would highly recommend.

This cottage is perfect for a family of 4. Well-equipped and modern with beautiful interior design. Care and attention to detail with a high standard of maintenance along with spectacular views across the Esplanade and to the Solent make this superb accommodation for a family holiday. The cottage retains a lot of it's original character and has many thoughtful, homely touches. Wifi, enclosed garden, own parking, efficient kitchen appliances all make this an ideal retreat for a relaxing IOW holiday.
Located in East Cowes so a short walk and trip on the chain ferry to soak up the atmosphere in Cowes was easy to do. Fantastic base for exploring the island and all of it's many attractions and beaches.

“Very cosy family cottage - well equipped and fantastic views.”

We stayed for five nights with two teenage daughters and a dog. All were very happy with the amenities (teenage girls especially happy with the excellent Wifi and twin rooms with views over the Solent). The cottage is cosy, well equipped and an excellent base for exploring Cowes and the rest of the island. Off street parking is a definite bonus as we have stayed in other properties in Cowes where parking has been very difficult. The views over the Solent are stunning and Danny the dog loved the secure back garden and the short walk to the Esplanade and the beaches (Dog friendly September to May). The cottage is within walking distance of the chain ferry to the other side of Cowes with loads of night life, shops and restaurants and also of a large Waitrose so pretty perfect in every way. The owners met us at the cottage with basic provision for out stay (and Easter bunnies for the kids!) and were helpful but unobtrusive. We will be back as we have family on the island and visit regularly.
