Just spent 2 nights here, staying in the Sea Grass room which is lovely and bright with a great view. The host goes to a lot of trouble to make her guests feel welcome and is full of useful information about local walks and restaurants.

We were served a yummy cooked breakfast in very comfortable surroundings.

We stayed in the Sea Grass room in September. The house has been restored superbly and sensitively. It is a glorious location , the gardens extensive and with peaceful nooks . Neil and Elaines hospitality was faultless as was the dinner and breakfast which we are still talking about and trying to emulate - no chance I suspect! Elaines welsh cakes are to die for !
No question we could not have made a better choice and will be going back to be spoilt before long. The room was perfect with a beautiful view of the estuary.
We have ticked the rating for the swimming pool as `excellent` as although there is not a traditional one there is a most impressive waterfall in the grounds which it would be tempting to lay beneath on a hot day! Thank you again Elaine and Neil, fabulous time.

My wife and I really appreciated this excellent lodging as we toured through Wales on a recent visit. The site was enchanting. We particularly appreciated just sitting quietly in the afternoon sunlight overlooking a little brook which runs through the lovely landscaped gardens: a truly magical moment. Our hosts were charming, discreet and helpful. They have taken over a very interesting series of old mill buildings are doing a magnificent job of restoring them. The food and service was excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend it and would certainly return the next time we are in the area.

After just spending the weekend at the beautiful Glandwr Mill, we thought it was only apt to write a review about this lovely B & B and the lovely hosts Elaine & Neil .We arrived on late Saturday afternoon to a warm greeting from Elaine who gave us a quick guided tour of the property. She followed this with afternoon tea and homemade "Welsh Cakes" in the garden.

If it is peace & quiet you seek - this is the place. The garden extends to several acres with a stream running through the middle. They are kept in splendid condition by Neil. After our cuppa we took the opportunity to explore - May / June must be a blaize of colour with all the camellias, azaleas and rhodedendrons.

We stayed in the "Moss" room - beautifully decorated in white & black. The en-suite had a huge bath & separate walk-in shower. But it is the little touches that make this property stand out - little fridge to keep your milk for your morning cuppa - bottled water etc.

We decided to opt for the evening meal cooked by Elaine and waited on by Neil. We were given several options for starters - I plumped for Avocado filled with bacon & mushroom & smoked trout for hubby. For mains we both had the herb-crusted rack of Welsh lamb with a range of veg. This was followed by homemade pavlova with summer fruits. Hubby had two helpings!! This was washed down with an excellent bottle of wine.
The food was superb and better than most restaurants with the lamb being the star of the show. At £25 per head & £12 for the wine we thought it good value for the quality of the food.

There is a large guest lounge - superbly furnished and it gives lovely views over the gardens & estuary beyond.

Elaine & Neil were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble and the Welsh breakfast was simply fantastic. Thanks for a lovely break - we will definitely return.

This has two bed and breakfast rooms and a self catering cottage. It is located a couple of miles from Barmouth in a quiet setting well off the A496 to Dolgellau. It is a renovated mill in an idyllic location with a superb garden and stream with a patio overlooking them.

We stayed there for two nights bed and breakfast in the room called Moss in July 2011. This was a lovely room ensuite with a view of the estuary between trees. The room can be made up for either twin beds or a double, we even had the choice of tog for the duvet. There is a freeview TV with ipod dock and a small fridge for a jug of milk and a couple of 500ml bottles of water supplied by the hosts.

On approaching we drove through a wooden gate under an arch and parked at the front of the building near the patio. There is parking there for at least two cars. A further car park is accessed by driving uphill to the left of the wooden gate. This had room for at least 8 cars so parking isn’t a problem.

There is a spacious lounge also available for the use of guests.

Free wifi was available and we used this in the bedroom and lounge.

A delicious breakfast was provided with a very varied selection of cut fruits, yoghurt, cereals and fruit juices. Then onto a wide range of choices for a cooked breakfast or smoked salmon with scrambled egg. Plentiful tea or coffee with toast and preserves.

A light evening can be pre-booked but we chose to do the short drive into Barmouth where there are several eateries and a promenade for an evening stroll.

We found our hosts Elaine and Neil to be very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

We couldn’t recommend it highly enough and have written this review with some hesitation…. we don’t want some of you having booked our room when we next want it!
