This park is developing into an exciting area with outstanding views of a The Thames.
The mountain bike course used at the Olympics is great.
Well worth a visit.

Lovely gem - acres of land in which to walk and wander. Wildlife in abundance. Totally unspoilt. Walk to your hearts content and enjoy the great views and abundance of wildlife.

“Where are the signposts?”
Reviewed 29 August 2013

Lovely well kept country park bordering the Thames estuary near Benfleet. Good views across the Benfleet Creek but there are a few blots on the landscape. Hadleigh Castle is a ruin but is a nice place to stop for a picnic and again good views. A Farm centre close by has a rare breeds section, restaurant and plenty to do for families with small children. It is owned by the Salvation Army.Nearby is the Olympic Mountain Biking course which is being adapted for the public. A nice hour or two spent but a lot of the time was trying to fathom out where we were on the map we downloaded from the internet! The east route we walked was, in places, quite challenging on a hot day and would be totally unsuitable for anyone who has trouble walking and is not fit.

“Nice for walking”
Reviewed 27 August 2013

We visit here quite a lot and they often run events in the holidays and throughout the year for children and adults, the childrens events have always been a hit with mine. This summer we have bug hunted which my daughter loved. Park is very well kept and is lovely for walking, great expanse of space, great views over the estuary and you can walk through from here to hadleigh castle and then if feeling very energetic through to old leigh, which is lovely. Don't have to pay to use the park, but you do have to pay for parking if you take your car.
