We stayed 2 nights in the "Superior Double Room with Terrace-Annex", which turned out to be cold, dark, damp and rustic. Very quiet though. No doubt nicer in the summer, but we found it rather dismal. It seemed to be facing the wrong way, with no windows facing the beautiful hills, although they could be viewed from a walled narrow side area of the patio. Although it has lovely spacious grounds with beautiful views of the surrounding green hills, the place seemed neglected. The otherwise appealing pool was badly in need of cleaning. Surprisingly, though the breakfast was ample, it was not of good quality. Better to have fewer items of good quality. The young woman taking care of things (office, serving breakfast, cleaning rooms...."Mrs. Irene", if I remember right), was very nice and did a good job. Upon arrival, our GPS delivered us to the another property along the road before it. It wasn't immediately clear where to park, as the parking sign doesn't say it's for Il Paggino customers. As another reviewer noted, it's NOT down the little road next to the property, but across the road up a short narrow potholed gravel drive. There's a small space to pull over by Il Paggino to unload luggage before parking.

Room Tip: While it was being cleaned I peeked in at the "deluxe suite" next to ours. It looked much...

Dear Guest, thank you for your support, it's important for us know your holiday opinion.... but they have to be honest.
Your vacation (2 nights ) has been done at the end of October under 2 rain days, so we can understand your sad opinion. As you know our pool it's closed (as normal season period) from the beginner of October and covered by a secure covered, about your room, we would like to inform the future Guest that Mr Dayle booked a Superior room with a large, comfortable, private and well equipped patio (around 30mq) with garden view as well explained in all webs may be our Guest made some mistakes during the reservation. Finally we would like to tell that oall our Guest are part of our family but if they respect our property as we could respect them property.

Thank you

Its beautiful located in the Chianti wine region of Tuscany, very green area, a lot of forest around, and beautiful sceneries as well. This Villa has got huge garden area and of course you can see it in their website and also my photos. They have got a beautiful swimming pool. It was a bit cold, unfortunately but we went in May. The Villa area itself is very beautiful, a lot of character.

They maintain the whole place very nicely, especially the garden they with lots of flowers and a great view as well. A really perfect place to just relax.
But, but, but... please be aware that there hotel is really close to one of the main roads. You really don't feel the presence of the main road if you are in one of the inside Villas. As long as you are not staying in the Villa, which is just beside the road. If your room is not close to the road, you would be fine because the rest of villas are a bit inside and doesn't have so much of the noise of the cars passing by. That's the only little minus criticism I would say about this villa.

The owner & staff are extremely nice. Its also very close, (only 1.5km) , Radda de Chianti. This town has got beautiful shops, selling fresh products from the farmers, big supermarket if you want, also lots of really nice organic local products from dry hams, cheese, olives, etc... I will highly recommend this villa for anyone.

I highly recommend bringing your own slippers because the floors are not wooden neither are they mosaic. They are made of a traditional Italian style floors where it is better if you leave your shoes on or just wear slippers. Quality of linens, towels, everything is very good quality. No doubts about that.

Hope you find this help full :-)

Room Tip: ask for villa away from the road :-)

Dear Guest, thank you for your kind support.
We work hard to let you enjoy your Tuscany holiday, we take a lot of about our property, we love flowers and every year we like change them colours, our garden (park garden) is one of the most bigger land in Chianti and our staff work hard to keep it in good conditions. We hope to meet you in the future and may be next time in Summer time.

Thank you

Close to Radda, although walking into town can be a little difficult for lack of safe road width. Car parking separately across road but safe and easy to access. Accommodation itself was good and spacious, grounds and pool worked well for children but with sufficient space to find a quiet spot if needed. Restaurant and wine sales on site made easy choices if to stay local, overall good location and accomodation/facilities - recommended for family or groups

We stayed here for a week and could not recommend this place more highly! The owners were so friendly and helpful, the grounds were to die for. Everyone else staying at the same time as us were very friendly but the grounds were big enough that we could get our own space if we wanted it. Loved the outdoor seating areas and barbeque, used it frequently instead of eating out! Five minute drive from Radda which I definitely wouldn't recommend walking as the roads are very windy. Pool was beautiful as were the views over the Tuscan hills. Can't wait to get the opportunity to stay again! Great place for young kids as lots of places to run around and nice big pool! Most relaxing trip I have ever been on.

This is a really picturesque and lovely place to stay. The rooms are quite large: we booked a large one which is the lowest end, and found that it was actually a small apartment! The bathroom is a bit old school but you will get that in any old country house. The pool is very good value as it was stinky hot! The car parking is directly opposite the villa, it's not very well signed so you might probably miss it. Whatever you do don't go down the alley next to the villa...it leads to nowhere and will prob damage your car! Breakfast is ridiculously huge, it could seriously feed 4 people for one!! Happy staying

We experienced a wonderful stay in this family house in Chianti. We had one apartment (Arcobaleno) and one room (Confort) both very nice.... the beds were comfortable, both property were clean and we enjoyed our breakfast morning under the wine grape (Francesco told us the Tuscany name is Pergola) good internet wi-fi. Thanks to Il Paggino hosts who made our stay so enjoyable and accommodated us with anything we needed....can't wait to return here in the near future.......thanks so much.......
