Owner description: Book your private tour and become part of Monterinaldi by visiting the cellars, tasting the wines, learning our production philosophy. Pair our wines with local home made food, and enjoy the real Tuscan flavors. Several private events are offered at Castello Monterinaldi: cooking class, off-road adventure, hiking and more. Ask for the complete and detailed program. The Castle of Monterinaldi, situated between Panzano and Radda in Chianti, in the center of the historic zone of Classical Chianti, is near an ancient Etruscan track. This historic site is mentioned in a document written in December 1010, which refers to “the Count Gottifredo Gottizio, of Longobard stock and a gentleman of Monterinaldi.” At Castello Monterinaldi you are welcome every day!

This was our second time here but this time we took the cooking class with Christina. She was absolutely fabulous and so much fun. There were 7 of us in our party and cooking skills ranged from pathetic (me) to talented. By the end of the class I couldnt wait to get home and make my own fresh pasta!!!

Our group of 8 did the hiking tour with Marco, very knowledgeable guide and easy to be with. After this very scenic tour of the vineyards and a wealth of information, we had a tour followed by an unbelievable lunch in the villa. The ambiance took you back in time and the food was fantastic with the wine pairing. Some of the best food we ate in Italy. The service at this winery was second to none, with all their people being personable and meeting all your individual needs. A must do winery!!

We did the hike prior to our wine tasting. Our hiking guide was very knowledgeable and took us on a 2 1/2 mile or so hike with decent inclines around the vineyard and castle (though it's a private residence now so you can't tour inside). The views are fabulous! We then headed to the winery for our tasting and lunch but we finished our hike a bit early (we arrived early). So they allowed us to join in a tour of the winery and wine making facilities that was just starting. The grounds are amazing. We were then shown into a historic home into our private dining area where we were served a wine paring with each scrumptious bite. It's a perfect way for them to show off their wines as the paring does great justice to the full flavor of the wines. Highly recommend this tour and tasting!

We visited via Tuscany Top Drivers for a cellar tour and lunch. Absolutely lovely villa and the wine was delicious. We bought a bottle or two of Purple Turtle wine as well.

We traveled to the Greve in Chianti area back in 2015 and one of our favorite stops was the Castello di Monterinaldi cooking class. We had a lot of fun, learned to make Italian bread, pasta and we got to eat our delicious meal and paired every course with one of the Monterinaldi wines... We ended up buying boxed of their wine to be shipped to Panama so we got to enjoy for many months to come.
I totally recommend you go and get your cooking class and buy lots of wine to take home with you. I also want to thank Fabrizio Benedetti, the sales manager who helped us with our wine purchase and shipping all the way to Panama.
