Lovely hotel in a beautiful position.
Restaurant/breakfast area has a glorious outlook over Tuscan countryside as does the pool.
A number of bedrooms will share this view so worth asking for one.
The staff we met were, without exception, amazingly friendly and efficient.the bar area is lovely, drinks reasonable and served with complimentary nibbles which was appreciated.
Had booked 3 nights-extended to 5 which speaks for itself!!

Room Tip: Room 66 in new block has a balcony with fantastic view

Staying at Relais Vignale was like visiting a comfortable country estate in beautiful Chianti. It's within steps of the charming village of Radda, with lots of good restaurants and nice shops. Plus, the location ideal as a home base for day trips to Siena and other interesting places, including monasteries, castles and wineries in the area.

Finding the hotel is easy and the staff is pleasant and helpful. A definite plus is free off-road parking. Our room was in the annex across the street from the main house. It was spacious, clean and comfortable with gorgeous views of the countryside. A plentiful breakfast is served on the terrace of the main house, overlooking rolling hills and vineyards. Dinner at the hotel's restaurant is a treat as well- outstanding food and excellent service.

Room Tip: All the annex rooms face the countryside and are quiet with beautiful views.

How the recent reviewer can call this a total dump is beyond me, maybe they flew in on their private jet and expected a six star experience, get a life. Correct, there is no car park at the front but there are three spaces opposite for dropping off. Very polite an friendly staff,..maybe it was you bad attitude mate!
Excellent breakfasts and views.
Two things I would point out.firstly, wifi was free in lounge area but €7 per day in your room. That is poor, our last hotel in Lucca did not charge. Also, not a complaint but someone came to room every evening and gave us a recipe. Bizarre! i would have preferred a chocolate! Dont take beach towels as they are free. Two hours from Pisa airport

Dear Guest,

we would like to thank you not only for your stay at the Relais Vignale and the time you took to review our hotel, but also for having highlighted how one of the previous reviews was unlikely true: no wonder it has been eventually removed.

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. As for the WiFi, we must admit there is a lack of communication from our side regarding this issue. We should have explained better that implementing the wireless network into an ancient building like ours was a huge investment. In order to repay it without increasing the room rates, we decided to offer the wifi connection as a service attached to our Courtesy Card, a tool that gives all sort of discounts within the hotel and in other local restaurants. The amount saved with the card usually covers its price. If you opted for the one-day connectivity ticket you didn't benefit from the discounts and perceived this only as a cost. We should have made more clear that there was an alternative. Sorry about that. We learn from our mistakes, so thank you for you precious feed-back and for the nice words your spent for our staff.

We hope to see you again at the Relais Vignale.

Best Regards,

We stayed just one night while driving through Tuscany, but would have liked to stay more.

Hotel room was excellent; clean, comfortable, beautifully quant with quality fittings, lovely view, very reasonably priced.

Facilities are excellent, restaurant setting is relaxing with wonderful view. One of the best breakfast menus we found in Italy.

Staff friendly, helpful and courteous. We'd highly recommend this hotel.

From the minute you arrive you feel most welcome, Serena on the front desk was efficient and friendly. While the luggage haul to the top floor was an effort it certainly didn't detract from the experience. First stop was the pool and wasn't this a welcome one, spotlessly clean and most refreshing on a day that hit 36 degC. The room was a little dated but i didn't mind that, it all adds t the character of the stay. The rooms were clean, bathrooms spacious. My only disappointment was the air conditioner didn't work the best but it cooled down in the evening enough to have a pleasant sleep. Wifi access was in th lounge area which comprised of 4 different rooms one with a large screen TV, the different lounges were a hit with me.Breakfast on the terrace at the rear of the hotel over looking the valley and after a swim in the pool doesn't get much better than this. I'll be back.

Room Tip: If you don't like hauling luggage I'd take a lower level room although the staff were very h...

An old style hotel, on road out west, rambling, with many public rooms, heaped with old art prints. But décor a bit tired? Pool below out back looked good. The WIFI was a problem, first had to pay for it in the rooms, then later in evening / next day would not work at all. So resorted to lobby below where it was free. Breakfast on terrace rear was good.

Dear Guest,

thank you for your stay at the Relais Vignale and for your review.

We are glad to hear you enjoyed the breakfast on the terrace and overall you found our hotel comfortable.

Please accept our apologies concerning the issue with the WIFI connection. It was most likely matter of the local ISP connectivity outage which was beyond our control.

Best Regards.

We stayed here while on honeymoon in Italia. It was just perfect! Great location the staff was excellent and amazing views!!! Excellent value for the price!!!! The rooms were totally fine maybe a little dated, but nice and clean. The bed was not super comfy but the rest of the experience made up for it. I will be back for sure!
