Nice for a quick stop. Ate at Bar Ucci- great food and friendly staff. Lasagna was amazing. Walked around and did a tasting at the Volpaia tasting room. Feels like you're back in medieval times. Beautiful view from town back to parking area.

Enjoyed the tasting room and had a wonderful lunch with a bottle of great chianti. A really pretty little village.

We ate at La Bottega and Bar Ucci, and enjoyed the former a lot more than the latter. There is a third restaurant with a new chef; it's supposed to be good.

interesting hilltop medieval town...nothing open during the winter holiday season--except Bar Ucci...and that is well worth the trip...some of the best food we had during our stay in Chianti country--try the boar stew!

Stopped here for lunch and spent a little time strolling the charming street(s). We were staying in Villa Erbolino, not too far away, and the owners recommended Volpaia...so glad they did! Drive to get there was an enjoyable meander. Enjoyed a glass of wine at Bar Ucci and ate lunch at La Botega. This little town was one of our sweetest memories of Chianti. Tiny but not to be missed.
