Myself, my husband and my 6 month old ventured out for some lunch on a miserable august day. we were welcomed with a smile and asked if we were having lunch. I planned on sitting at a small table but we were offered a larger table so we would have room for us all and all the baby things.

We ordered and the food arrived within 15 mins. I had the muscles and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich, both were delicious. All the staff were friendly and kind my only niggle was i wasnt offered a finger bowl, but i had wetwipes so was ok..... just something to be aware of. Such a simple thing and should be offered every time :)

Lovely little village pub in pretty setting, hidden away from main road. You have to park down by the river but only a short walk up a steep hill. Views are beautiful. We turned up on a busy August evening and most tables seemed to be reserved but they kindly slotted us in. Staff were lovely and friendly and food very tasty, I had a lovely risotto whilst my friend ordered mussels, food was extremely good and of a high standard so well done to the chef. It's the old story with prices people moan about paying a little more than average but isn't it worth paying a tad more for good local food. I will definitely return.

The staff on the bar where all but rude to us. We took friends from Gloucestershire for what we thought would be a nice meal. Food average but the attitude of some of the staff was awful. Will not repeat the visit. Still next night went to a wonderful and very friendly pub in Mylor Bridge

Staff very helpful, lovely food - the mussels were some of the best that we have had. Good beer and a large wine selection. Only downside, its a little pricey for lunch - large mussels and chips came in at £17.50. Total meal for 4 adults and 2 kids inc drinks came to £86 - good for a treat at the end of the Cornwall Coast to Coast cycle trail.

We visited the Old Quay Inn with teenage children and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The welcome was warm, the service friendly & efficient, the food completely delicious. Starters of scallops and belly pork were extremely tasty, mains of risotto, fish & chips, goats cheese salad and a fish burger all went down well, and puddings of chocolate and orange cheesecake, coffee creme brulee, lemon gelato and pimms jelly were all delicious. The menu was very wide ranging and it was not easy to choose what to have! Customers of all ages (including a family with very young children) were clearly enjoying the place. We will definitely return and would recommend this place wholeheartedly.
