“Fabulous time in a fabulous apartment”
Reviewed 13 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

A week at Traighuaine was a wonderful and relaxing experience. Excellent location with amazing views to far away places down the Loch.
Fiona the owner could not be more helpful.
Close by are some interesting and lovely places to visit and good places to eat.
Tip for artists..take an easel set it up in the picture window and paint or photograph your heart out ! I shall on my next visit!

“Excellent base.”
Reviewed 18 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

My wife and a couple of friends recently enjoyed an excellent week at the splendid Traighuaine Ard. This property was a delight to stay in with excellent views out over a Sea Loch with many islands. The house itself is a true home from home with everything you could possibly need for a weeks stay provided. The layout is excellent with the open plan lounge, dining room & kitchen in the middle and bedrooms and bathrooms to each side.

While it is in a very quiet spot, which is just what we wanted, we found it an ideal base for us to explore the whole area.

Top notch accommodation we would definitely be Happy to return to.

“Spectacular”
Reviewed 20 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

My family and I have just returned from fantastic a 9 night stay at Traighuaine Ard. Fiona met us and showed us the apartment which was absolutely spotless and very well equipped. During our stay we went on a number of walks close to the property which gave us amazing views out towards Jura. We also went on a fantastic wildlife spotting boat trip with local skipper Duncan and saw sea eagles, porpoises, red dear and seals. The local purpose built slipway 1/2 mile from the property allowed us to launch our sea Kayak into the beautiful loch. There is absolutely loads to do (too much to list) and Craobh Haven is an ideal base no matter what your interest is. The weather was generally sunny and warm with the occasional shower which did not put us off in the slightest. We also have an amazing trip to the beautiful island of Gigha (Fionas recommendation) and enjoyed the pure white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Fiona is an amazingly helpful host who could not do enough for us. We are still missing the unbelievable views from the apartment and contrary to all of the warnings we received about Scotland in the summer none of us received one midge bite. I would without question recommend this place to anyone whether it be for a short break or a family holiday. Absolutely wonderful.

“Great escape”
Reviewed 20 June 2015 for a stay in April 2015

This was our third trip to Traighuaine Ard and it was fantastic as usual. Fiona was welcoming as always and the location is superb for getting away from it all. Convenience isn't really the key word - there are no shops, restaurants or pubs nearby but for peace and relaxation it's hard to beat. We love being able to walk down the road to the beach and there's always a friendly seal popping his head up to see what's going on. Why not go and pay him a visit yourself!

“Lovely apartment, wonderful, location and great area”
Reviewed 20 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Lovely apartment, very comfortable, very clean and very well equipped, in a fantastic location. Sitting watching the sunsets on the decking is just lovely and so peaceful. Fiona, the owner is on hand with any help and advice and gives you a very warm, friendly welcome. The area is great, something for all ages, great walking, wildlife, boat trips, cycling, beaches and lots of good places to eat. Lovely part of Scotland to explore.

“Fabulous place, very comfortable.”
Reviewed 12 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

A very comfortable apartment with an amazing view over the marina and islands. Everthing you could wish for is on hand.
Excellent restaurant within the marina. Locally sourced seafood is a must, Lagoustines and crab claw starters fantastic. Reasonably priced with an excellent selection of beers, wines, and, of course, whiskies.
We shall return !!!!!

“Fantastic accommodation”
Reviewed 21 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Our second stay, and will not be our last. Fiona very welcoming. Thanks for the Brocolli! A superb base for sea kayaking with purpose built launching area 500m from the house. Great day trips possible to the Garvellachs and Grey Dogs.

Outstanding views down the sound of Jura

Great cycling from the door to Loch Awe and beyond
