Tomorrow morning we will depart reluctantly this lovely little apartment that has been our home for more than two weeks. We marvel at its efficiency; it's small but contains every single thing we have needed for a comfortable stay. Three nearby supermarkets and multiple convenience stores served our food and wine shopping needs. The apartment is located in a perfect spot for taking advantage of the dozens of restaurants on the Torrox-Costa promenade which begins about 30 meters from the front door (there are two restaurants on the ground floor of this very building). Accessing nearby towns either on the scenic N340 coastal road or the more efficient Autovia that runs parallel to the sea about 2K inland was a snap.
The beach is terrific and the Mediterranean gorgeous. Breakfast on our terrace overlooking the sea was a daily treat. The building management office is right across the street and, when a heavy rain apparently knocked out the building's wi-fi, they responded immediately to our request for help by sending a techie over to repair it within just a couple of hours. The owners, Fleur and Dave, were always readily available to answer questions via email. I'm quite certain we never waited more than two hours for a response to our emails seeking advice or information.
From here we took an easy day trip to the Alhambra in Grenada, to the picturesque and historic mountaintop village of Comares (don't miss it and do be certain to see the cemetery there), to the fabulous restaurant Insólito in Benalgabon which offers a 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon Flamenco show, to Picasso's birthplace museum in Málaga and (though we didn't get there this time) the Rock of Gibraltar is only two hours away. We'll be back, for sure.
We live in New York and the horrors of Hurricane Sandy struck during our stay here. Our hosts, even in advance of the storm, emailed to say we could stay on should we need to reschedule our trip home. In fact, that's exactly what happened and we were thrilled to be able to add three days to our stay here.
A side note to any bridge players considering coming here: We found three bridge clubs in nearby Nerja -- about a 10 minute drive up the coast. We've enjoyed several duplicate sessions during our stay and especially recommend the King of Hearts Club that meets at the excellent Indian restaurant Haveli.

This is my second stay in this lovely studio apartment in Torrox Costa, and my opinion of the accommodation has only improved; it was even better than I remember from my last stay!
This would have been my third stay but for the Icelandic Ash Cloud which prevented one of my visits. Incidentally, the owners were very helpful and understanding at that stressful time.
The apartment was very clean and presented perfectly on both occasions. There is a home from home atmosphere and the apartment has a comprehensive array of household items that you may need during your stay.
The location so close to the beach, with the most fantastic panoramic views of the sea beaches and mountains, would be hard to beat anywhere in Europe. The photographs cannot really compare to the actual reality of the spectacular views.
The apartment is close to many restaurants offering various cuisines, also there are four large supermarkets within walking distance, if required.
The service provided by the owners is nothing short of outstanding, from efficiently providing the keys for access, to offering support personally either by telephone/email, or from their representatives in Torrox during your stay.
The apartment, in my opinion is perfect for a single person (as the apartment is in a secure residential building, and you can still feel not alone watching the world go by relaxing on the bright spacious balcony ), or a couple looking for a relaxing holiday.
It is very close to quality bus services to and from Malaga and Nerja for those who choose not to drive.
The apartment can be reached by train or bus from the Airport to Malaga, and bus from Malaga to Torrox Costa, at a reasonable cost and journey time. There are bus links to many places from the nearby town of Nerja.
You can book with confidence, I can't recommend the apartment more highly.

Such a lovely little apartment, all the little touches were very nice. Being able to lie in bed and look out at the sea from the 6th floor apartment - heaven! And the mountains leading down to the town are a lovely backdrop. Beach is a 3 minute walk, lots of nice local places to eat. Definitely recommend the beach at Nerja as an easy trip - stunning!
Apartment is a small studio, but my friend and I found it more than adequate for our needs. Ate breakfast on the balcony each morning, just lovely. Amazing value for money.
Only downside was that my friend and I didn't hire a car and it was expensive to get a cab from Malaga airport, cost around 60 Euro. Should have been more organised and booked their local driver, but he was away that weeken anyway, it turns out.
