An interesting experience with a friend who had lived in Italy for a couple of years or so. As you walk up the hill the front of the restaurant, perhaps, looks a little uninviting but once inside there is a very airy dining area.

We drank the Italian lager offered which was very pleasant starters were the Calamari and a small portion of pasta. Both were delicious and we did note the number of fish dishes on the menu which is in keeping with a restaurant named after a town on the coast.

We had pizzas for main course and they were equally delicious. Watch out for the chilli oil bottle. The caps are not screwed on properly and I dropped ours. The waitress was very quick to come to our rescue.

The staff were very friendly and the whole meal was a very pleasant experience.

A couple of minor things to bring up.... Cream in Carbonara? And how about a wee bit more Italian on the Menu like for the amazing pizza Tutta la Carne sounds far better than “all the meet”

Came here for an easy meal after a long day out and about and it’s gorgeous. Lovely food & great atmosphere. Staff couldn’t do more. Very reasonable price!

Visited here again on Tuesday evening and once again the food was delicious. The service was very good despite the restaurant being quite busy. We opted for the main menu as we feel there is not enough choice on the early bird menu. The grand marnier cheesecake is the best I have ever eaten.

We visited on a busy Friday night. There was a lovely music act on and there was a great atmosphere. We all enjoyed a 3 course meal which was all of good quality and the service was great in between courses. We have been a few times and not been disappointed yet. The restaurant is local to me and it’s great to see it doing so well. The only points to mention would be that once we had eaten we were left to find someone to ask for our bill and no body came back over to see if we needed anything else and the music act is a great idea but could do with being slightly quieter so you can have a conversation without shouting over the table.
