“Fantastic B&B”
Reviewed 25 July 2013

I can't fault my stay here, the room was immaculate and comfortable, the breakfast was so yummy, and the hostess (Julie) was fantastic.
Lots of parking just outside the house, and shops and pubs within a stones throw .

Room Tip: I loved the garden room

Willow Cottage is in an urban setting but tucked away, with a lovely garden for relaxing in. The place is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Julie welcomes you like long-lost family, in fact you quickly become a member of the household. She obviously loves what she does and it shows in the attention to detail, the friendly banter and the gorgeous breakfasts. She loves having people there and nothing is too much trouble. Top marks all round.

Room Tip: Garden Room (Room 5) is where we stayed. It is the latest addition, beautifully appointed and comfor...

First class accommodation, immaculate, quiet, and so many details which makes this visit feel like an exploration. Host was truly amazing: taking time to talk to guests although there was so much work to be done. No pressure to leave the dining room after a great and varied breakfast and no pressure to be out of Willow Cottage by 10.00 - we actually left our suitcases till 11.15 whilst we were out spending the last few minutes with our friends.

My wife and I stayed at willow cottage for her 70th birthday and were given a warm welcome by Julie she then helped us up to the bedroom with our bags there waiting for my wife was a box of chocolates and a birthday card this was totally unexpected. The bedroom was spotless with nice décor a choice of different teas coffee and biscuits awaited us I soon hooked up the WiFi. To say the bathroom was large would be an understatement it had a large bath separate shower cubicle and even had a seat and still plenty of room, downstairs was of the same high standard of cleanliness and décor, there was a nice garden with plenty of seating, breakfast in the morning had more choice than we have seen in any place that we had stayed at previously with the table being well presented. Julie goes out of her way to cater to your needs and is helped by Harvey as and when required,we can't understand why anyone could find fault with Willow Cottage but every one is entitled to an opinion we liked it that much that we have booked again for September. If you like fish and chips there is an excellent restaurant as well as all the other eating places in Yeadon. As a final note there are three lovely well behaved cats that you will fall in love with.

Room Tip: this is a twin room and as far as we are aware the only room with a bath as well as a shower

I stayed at Willow Cottage for a couple of nights while on a training course with work. I found the landlady lovely and very welcoming with the room i stayed in being very comfortable, warm and clean. Breakfast was also terrific with a choice of hot or cold food. On top of all of this, the price was excellent too.
I definitely recommend Willow Cottage to anyone looking to stay in the Yeadon area. Plus, it's a stones throw away from lots of places to eat and drink, which makes it ideal.

I was travelling from Cumbria to attend a 4 day course at RPC UK and willow cottage B&B was nothing short of fantastic! I had difficulty in finding but this was due to my stupidity in trusting the sat nav - I phoned Julie and Harvey who assisted me, upon arriving I was greeted outside and shown my room.

The room was a great size, double bed, wall mounted TV, WiFi included, walk in shower + more. What's not to like?! The garden was huge, easy access to pubs / resteraunts / bus routes.

Breakfast was between 07:00 and 08:30 which included cereal, fruit, full engish, toast + more Julie was happy to cater for anyone.

Overall a friendly run, well presented B&B. I may be back in a few months on a follow up course?

Quite disappointed as there were a few issues.
We were given the impression that there was a car park, this is not so, you have to park on a very steep hill.
There is no key to lock your room door when you go out. Not great when you are leaving valuables. How can the owner know that other guests are not "taking a peek into your room"
There are a few cats wandering around both downstairs and on the stairs if you are allergic to them this would be a serious problem.
When I had a shower, it was far too powerful for the small glass screen and so consequently the bathroom floor was covered in a layer of water.
We stayed Saturday evening - very noisy - room was close to a pub.
At breakfast we had cutlery and crockery missing - had to ask for these, then noticed no napkins for us. Breakfast was at a communal table and as we were last to be served there was then no milk left to had to ask again. The toast didn`t appear to have been toasted at all.
All in all a very unhappy stay.
