Ruen Thai is in a fairly isolated location within a reasonable distance of a few shops and restaurants. Transport - we had a scooter is a distinct advantage to get to a larger selection of shops markets and restaurants.
The accommodation itself is quite distinctive and charming being a traditional Thai design. Facilities were good with an internal hot water shower and wc. The kitchen was adequate and fine for breakfasts. A combination of aircon and electric fan worked well. A large comfortable bed plus sitting out areas was good. When we stayed we had no problem with insects, however feral dogs in the vicinity were a bit of a problem and are best avoided and ignored. Geoff the host and the owner were both very friendly and informative. All in all a nice few day away from the busy areas of the town which we enjoyed very much.
