I stayed at Uluramaya Retreat Cabins a couple of weeks ago and WOW! Besides the amazing views, beautiful cabins and extremely welcoming hosts, the feelings of peace, calm and serenity kick in straight away. I've never relaxed so fast on an escape. Sue and Aziz were wonderful hosts and thought of every detail to make it an enjoyable stay. I'd absolutely recommend you stay here and quite often do!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great. Kookaburra is the furthest away from the main area if you want a bit more s...

I attended a yoga retreat Uluramaya, and found it to be the perfect venue to support peacefulness and serenity one seeks for such activities. The hosts, Sue and Aziz made us feel very welcome and catered for our every need. I can't wait for my return visit

Room Tip: They are all good with great views and access to outdoor living space

We don't have enough adjectives to give justice to this tranquil haven. Absolutely the best retreat we have ever visited. The view: Breathtaking. The Sunrise: Majestic (rising over the Glass House Mountains). The Landscape: Serene & Tranquil. Being off the grid, yet having all the homely comforts is astonishing. The care and preparation Sue & Aziz have out in to this dream oais is nothing short of exceptional. From the the ornate timber furniture and carvings to the organic hand crafted soaps, to the sweets, fruit, wine & beer on arrival & the pre-heated room, Sue & Aziz set the scene for a peaceful retreat from the moment they meet you at the gate. On top of enjoying the diverse wildlife of the day time, we were blessed at night with a visit from a family of Sugar gliders. 5 in total, 2 came within touching distance as we had an intimate view of them feeding, Playing & gliding from tree to tree. Simply exquisite.... :) We can not thank you enough for our amazing experience! We look forward to coming back soon.

Room Tip: All Three Cabins have great view - The Gulloo Cabin has by far the best though!

We recently had a two night stay in the Kookaburra cabin which we just loved. It was private, cosy & the views were spectacular of the valleys & the mountains.
Aziz had just completed a large deck between the Kookaburra & Jewel cabins & this will be great to sit out on & watch the king parrots & lorikeets feed from.
Sue had made chocolate brownies for our arrival which was a lovely thought.
There are many walks in & around the property but unfortunately due to the rain we were only able to do the short walk down to the "shelter" which was still enjoyable & the smells & sounds of the bush were wonderful.
If you want peace & quiet & time to just sit around & do "nothing" then we would highly recommend Uluramaya. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

My wife and I booked Uluramaya for our 1 night wedding anniversary. Sue and Aziz were kind enough to book us for a 1 night stay on a Sunday of a public holiday weekend! Now that is service!
We arrived to be upgraded to the larger cabin, Gulloo, which would normally sleep 2 couples or a family. They gave us flowers on arrival and had a roaring fire set up in the pot bellied stove for us. We had a wonderful day and night, very relaxing and with incredible views of the Glasshouse Mountains. The next day we had a late checkout and meandered back to Brissie.
We have stayed in cabins throughout the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast Hinterland and I have never felt as well looked after as we were here.

This is a very special place. We made a reservation for Gulloo Cabin for two nights, having read the excellent reviews for Uluramaya on Trip Advisor. Detailed directions were sent to us by email, because some Satnav systems apparently cannot locate the property easily. I’m not sure why this should be – there are gravel roads in good condition and a couple of other properties in the vicinity. The nearest town is Woodford, so shopping for provisions here first would be a good idea – we certainly didn’t want to leave Uluramaya once we had arrived! Sue met us at the gate - very friendly and helpful. Gulloo has two double bedroom cabins, each with a private bathroom. The kitchenette, with complimentary wine, beer, coffee, eggs, etc., and indoor seating area are in the main cabin, with a large deck and covered dining area and barbecue outside. The views from the deck are superb – the Glasshouse Mountains and beyond. There is a bird table with seed, to attract the local King Parrots. I went out one night to look at the stars – definitely no problem with light pollution here – and was aware of a movement next to me on the bird table. It turned out to be a young Sugar Glider. We saw at least four individuals whilst we were there and took some good photographs. Being city-dwellers, we closed all blinds and curtains in the evening. This is not really necessary – the property is not overlooked at all and we might have missed one of the most magical sights – dawn over the Glasshouse Mountains. Even though it was at 6am, we made sure that we were awake and left the blinds open the next day. No need to get out of bed to see it, actually. We spent most of the day wandering around the walking trails on the property, birdwatching and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Sue brought round home-made scones with cream and jam – delicious – I think that she had found out that it was my birthday. Both Sue and Aziz are fascinating to talk to – quite a range of interests, including geology and wildlife. I would definitely recommend Uluramaya for a peaceful break. Those who prefer TV and nightlife should perhaps stay in the city.
