Imagine a Saturday evening at dusk, with a rare warm October breeze and gentle sounds from Lake Michigan sloshing on the beach. Now place yourself on a balcony with comfortable wooden rocking chair taking it all in with your eyes, your nose, your ears and the feel on your skin. Now, imagine a lovely intimate in house restaurant with friendly and helpful wait staff serving tasty and creative morsels with the sound of music caressing you. If you have been there you know how your senses revel at the Inn at Bay Harbor.
Do the rooms need a bit of an update, yes. Does the elevator make some unusual moves, yes. The décor is a bit shore traditional reminiscent of the Grand Hotel or Cape Cod. Nevertheless, the beds are wonderfully comfortable, the bathroom is bigger than my office at work, the kitchen area is marvelously convenient.
Some might say the Inn at Bay Harbor is pricey but with a $70 resort credit and a wonderful buffet breakfast, I think the price is competitive with other 4 star resorts.
Truly, truly the Inn at Bay Harbor is Paradise Island in Michigan.More
