Streamedge is a small, but beautifully located homestay near Sakleshpur. What it lacks in luxury, it makes up for in hospitality. The Manager, Mr. Bharat, treats you like a house guest. The food is typically Malnad, and has a homely taste to it. There are a million places to visit nearby, and the staff at the homestay will guide you to the treks and spots to see. Visit during the monsoon to see an ocean of green. And drive to see Betta Byreshwara, a quaint temple that is worth the rough road.
It's really worst. Dead waste of amount... Waste money to this resort... Bad experience... Don't go anyone.....
We went there as a a group of 4 (2 couples) there. The biggest positive point about this homestay is hospitality of the hosts especially Mr. Shanoj. He is always there to help in case want it. Location is good. Food is descent. During Monsoon, the parking area becomes full of mud which can be improved. Also cleanliness can be improved.
Would definitely like to revisit here.
Had visited Streamedge with family and friends over a weekend. Located a short distance from Sakleshpur town, the resort can be reached with help from Google maps. It has a 24 hr check-in/check-out policy and is very reasonably priced, but but what sets this resort apart is the level of hospitality and service extended by the manager - Mr. Bharath, and the staff. The owner Mr. Shanoj is normally available on weekends and goes the extra mile to ensure that your stay is enjoyable. The resort accommodates family/couple stay in individual cottage style rooms or a group stay in dorm style rooms. The resort also boasts of a stream on its premises with a rope bridge and zipline for the more adventurous types. There is a trampoline for the kids as well as indoor games. But don't miss out on "slush volleyball" - volleyball/throwball played in a court with ankle deep muddy water - tons of fun if you don't mind getting wet.
Be sure to carry walking/trekking shoes else you stand to miss out on the real beauty of Sakleshpur, especially during the monsoons. The resort staff/manager will be more than happy to be your guide for these treks. Evenings can be spent around a bonfire listening to music from the resort owner's extensive collection and enjoying veg/non-veg barbeque. If you are up to it, you can carry your own barbeque set and the resort will help you set it up. For those who enjoy a drink, ensure you carry sufficient alcohol since you might need to drive down to the town to restock. Special shout out to the chef - the food was simply awesome. Overall it was a lovely experience and definitely worth a revisit.
I am a Frequent traveler and it was sheer luck that I reached Stream Edge when i was looking for places to stay around Dec 31st 2016.
After asking for lot of references from people in Sakleshpur and the resort i was staying in i was Lead to Streamedge.
It was a delight to be welcomed and hosted by Shanoj and his wife; The food was simply outstanding. The Splashes at the Stream within the property, Chilled drinks, the Bonn Fire and even the treks that we did all were simply the best i could have asked for in my vacation.
If it;s peace you are looking for, or trekking in nature or even activities with family at comfort of home and with great food.
This is the place you can't be missing.
I am already planning my next vacation here.
Thank you very Much Shanoj!
Look Forward to my next visit in a few weeks.
