This is one of those country pubs where you feel immediately at home. Our party of six was very comfortably accommodated around an oval table. The menu had a very good range of choice, and was supplemented by several daily specials. We were not waiting unduly long for our meals, and everyone reported well on what they received. Our order included; a crab, crayfish and avocado salad; a salad nicoise with a lovely tuna steak; duck stir-fry; beef and stilton pie. Everything was very good value, and I would regard this as a cut above the average pub lunch. The puddings were perhaps less sparkling; nevertheless, I would certainly come again and recommend it to others.
