We took our grandson on the Chasewater Railway for his first train ride at 17 months old. We had a brilliant time meeting and speaking to friendly volunteers and visitors alike. Our little boy loved it, his eyes were like huge saucers watching the trains and rolling stock moving in and out. Lunch in the cafe was excellent too.

Went here in the summer but not much was on so wouldnt like to go when its not hot. There is a park for the kids which is nice enough. Also nice place to feed the ducks. Lots of grassy areas to have picnics, or just to run around or relax. My toddler loved it here and for a cheap day out you cant go wrong, I just wish there were more things to do there. Glad they had an icecream van! The gift shop is not up to much but they have some funny fridge magnets lol.

Great place to visit and relax. Ideal for Families to enjoy the outdoors in safety. Railway is a great attraction.

Take the kids bikes - 3 miles around the lake. Catch the train if there's a steam-up. Enclosed playground, feed the very large number of waterbirds in the pond or lake (will eat out of your hand, they're used to it).

Great place to go for a long walk. There is a very good cafe at both ends for refreshments and excellent for breakfasts and lunch. Good food and great value for money.
