“great ski vacation”
Reviewed 14 April 2012

two weeks ago came back from ski vacation in andorra. Stayed in very nice village Ordino, hotel Prats (by the recomendation of few friends staying earlier in that hotel). Nice and clean, simple hotel with calm atmosphere.Clean and rather big rooms. Very comfortable for the skiers that want to ski in several places of valnord (pal and arkalis). The freebus station is 2 minutes walk from the hotel.Nice sport center is also few minutes walk from the hotel.
The personal is very friendly.
Next ski season will come back!! :)

we booked the room via the hotel's website (www.hotelordino.com) it was reccomended by our Andoranian friends. The price was very low - 70EU per dbl room on half board.
The rooms are nice, clean with comfortable beds, bath and balcony. Simple but fresh and tasty breakfast,on saturday evening they made barbeque. Outdoor swimming pool has heating system and we could also enjoy it , the water was about 27degrees.For our luck - unless it was the end of september , the weather was very warm (25-30 degrees during the day). As we understood it's unusual for this period.
Ordino is very nice old village and it's location is great for those who like walking paths and mountain climbing (there is good via ferrada center 3 minutes walk from the hotel and they orginized everything for climbing - it was great!!)The hotel's owner also showed us the routs for walking - we enjoyed each moment in this small , calm and nice principality.
As a conclusion - u can hardly find better place for calm vacation full of great views and fresh air...
By the way , pets are allowed. We came with our dog and it also got very good treat :)

Room Tip: our room number was 604 - on the second floor with great view from the balcony

We booked this from the - very helpful - tourist information office in the village. At euro50 for b&b for two of us, it was the cheapest hotel on our trip around southern Europe. I would guess the rate is highly sensitive to the season, however. Ordino's a small village and the hotel is less than a minute's walk to the centre.

Check in was friendly to the point of laidback (in French, not sure how much English is spoken), but helpful. The room was a good size but sparsely furnished, clean and bright, with a small balcony with a table and chairs. The beds were fairly comfortable. The bathroom was large, with a big bathtub. There were enough power points, and a good-sized built-in wardrobe. There's no kettle in the room, nor internet. Altogether, a clean and functional place to sleep, but not a room to hang out in.

There's a bar and pool table downstairs, which, by contrast, is a convivial place to spend time (the ground floor has good free wifi throughout, as well); and there's a small splash pool outdoors, which was cold but refreshing in the summer heat. Breakfast was basic but perfectly adequate, with fresh bread and good coffee.

I was impressed with Ordino. Although obviously a ski resort town, it makes a real effort to attract the summer crowd. There's a great public sports complex, with an indoor pool and a climbing wall; there are free or cheap guided hikes available, and the town is prettily decked out with flower tubs everywhere. Very pleasant.

The hotel aims to service the lower end of the tourist market, and it does so well. It was clean, good value, and welcoming.

No heating..owners wouldn't turn it on.Couldn't sleep or shower it was too cold.Only two other guests.Bath was filthy.Pool out of order..unusable.Steak wasn't cooked properly. No compensation and charged for nights and breakfast we didn't stay. I highly recommend the serc hotel magic in Andorra la Velle instead for the same price.
