Fabulous - must do. Great atmosphere, people, service and food. The pizza huge and feeds 3. Sit in a little hut right on beach. We went 3 times in 10 days!

“Great spot to escape”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 July 2014

If you are staying in one of the busy resorts and need to escape, this is the place. It is a small bar/ restaurant by the sea. Very laid back and chilled. We stumbled across it in our rental car ( budget, Sigatoka are excellent) and spent the whole day. We turned up with snorkelling gear and a paddle board and swam for ages, even at low tide. If you walk a little way out you will soon find the channels. We then hung out there eating amazing pizza whilst our son played with the owners' son. He even climbed a coconut tree and made him a little boat from the branches. It's a lovely family who run it, the staff were so friendly and our whole experience there was delightful.

“Quirky Pizza Haven”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 July 2014

The ECO Café is well worth your hard earned. It’s an odd place, tiny in size but serves up some of the biggest pizzas I’ve come across. A pizza here will set you back upwards of $30FJD each, but well worth it and will accommodate half/half on request.

“Fantastic Food with an Ocean View”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2014

I stayed on the Coral Coast of Fiji and was highly recommended to visit Eco Cafe for at least one meal. I had a pizza the first night, and I went back several more times and tried the lasagna, the carbonara, and of course more pizza. Fabi is an amazing chef, making authentic Italian food with a Fijian twist. The dining room of the restaurant looks like it was built from all natural and found material, from a table made from a tree trunk to weaved palm floors. When you eat, you can look over the ocean, and if you visit around sunset, the view of the ocean and the beach is stunning. The food does take a while to prepare, but the wait is worth it.

“Just amazing little rustic cafe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

Thank you Trip Advisor and thank you to the Melbourne couple who recommended we eat here very early on in our stay at the Warwick, as we would want to go back, and go back we did...nearly every night, the food was so great and so much better value than the hotel, despite the $18 fijian, taxi ride there and back. We ate there 4 nights out of 7.
It is owned by an Italian lady and her Fijian partner, so you get the best wood fired pizzas (I am talking as good as anything you would get in Australia , if not better..very thin and crispy base, great toppings if quite simple), as well as fresh , fragrant and tasty local food. We had the Lovo there (a typical Fijian feast where the food is cooked in a pit in the sand, so is very smokey) which was wow! try the kokoda (like a Fijian ceviche) as it is so fresh and zesty.
They use fresh coconut cream and it makes a huge difference. The whole concept is about using the environment better and taking what nature has around you to complete the experience, and it creates a fantastic rustic atmosphere.
Your hosts can't do enough for you - we even took a fish we had caught (rock cod) and donated it to them, so they cooked it for us free of charge on our last night.
It was definitely the highlight of our trip, and there were people who travelled along way around the Island just to eat there. You won't be disappointed.
