Beautiful setting, wonderful food, authentic fijian attitude (but with some italian influence - a mix that produces a spectacular outcome). Over the last 11 years, i've spend 2-5 months/year in fiji. i've traveled widely throughout the country and have eaten everywhere. overall, the eco-cafe is the best place in fiji. i've probably had 50+ lovo meals (meal cooked on hot rocks below ground) - the recent one at the eco-cafe was, without question, the best ever - no other was even close. if you are staying along the coral coast and need a break from the conventional hotel food (and if you are not bored with that food after a few days - well...), this is the first, and probably only, place you should go. authentic, spectacular sunsets, friendly and competent owners, food that you will remember. this is a must visit restaurant.
